My doggie had stones in her bladder, she had a schedule surgery in another vet. She got really bad and I called Clay County humane society explained the situation and the same day they did the surgery that couldn't wait like the other vet said.

Thank you so much ? to all the staff ,doctors ❤️

I understand most people use this vet because of its low costs, but the unprofessional employees are enough to make me pay the extra $50 for the next cat I rescue to be fixed at a regular vet.
To start- I got a message a few days before surgery saying my cat needed to be brought in via a carrier. This is only the 3rd cat I’ve ever had fixed, so excuse my ignorance for not knowing it had to be an official carrier. I had a cloth travel carrier last time I had a cat fixed that they destroyed on the way home from the animal hospital- I threw it away. I found this kitten 2 months ago on the side of the road- scooped him up and took him home. I am not a rescuer or affiliated with one, so I did not know a bankers box that I CARRIED him in would not suffice as a “carrier”. I was told after I CARRIED him into the office that I would need to go purchase a carrier. Or they had a CARDBOARD carrier I could take him home in. Insert eye roll. I asked to speak to someone in charge to clarify why a box is not sufficient (the answer being because he could break out of the box- ok I bet a big enough, pissed off enough cat could break out of the cardboard carrier, but whatever). When I asked her if they could update the website and notifications so other newbies could be better educated, she was very dismissive. Decided to let it go. I called at a little after 3 to see if he was ready for pick up and was told “well we tell customers the animals will be ready to go between 3&4, and it’s after 3, so yea he’s ready”. Are you serious? That was a LOT of words when you could have saved the snarky remarks and just said “yes”. One word. Yes. I debated on writing a post for a day or two until I saw this little “note” written on the very bottom of the cardboard box, with carrier in quotes. Like seriously? What is the purpose of being so dang snarky?! You couldn’t have just written my name or my cats name on it?

So do yourself a favor- if you can afford the regular vet, do it. The money you save isn’t worth the terrible customer service.

We brought in a mama dog we rescued from a puppy mill. Everyone was great, and the pricing was reasonable. I'm going to switch our other pets to them.
