As a local on The Hill, I was thrilled to see a pet shop opening just a few blocks from me! The owner Jess has been more than accommodating when I need a particular food that they don't have in shop and special orders it to please my picky and allergy ridden pets. Outside of having a great selection of item, I love that Jess is active in dog rescues and giving these animals exposure to the public by bringing them into the shop. As an owner of 3 shelter animals, I love being able to see these rescues and supporting a woman running a small business. Highly recommend going in and treating your pet to some goodies here!!

This is a wonderful store and it supports a wonderful cause. I get all my dog food there and have even gone to their “Paint Your Pet” nights to paint my pets and family members’ pets for Christmas presents.

Oh, Chaio Chow, how I love you. My boyfriend and I just moved to the city with our four dogs. Two beagles, two shepherds. Four times the dog supplies. I love this place. I love everything from the organic treats to the toys made from recycled products. I love that fact, that the owner Jess, sits in the corner and sews her bandanas on her own machine. I love her wall of endless dogs pictures of the dogs she’s rescued with her nonprofit. I love her passion and her drive and you can absolutely feel that when you walk in to the store. OH- and don’t even get me started on the DOG BATH. YOUR OWN PERSONAL LITTLE ROOM, stocked with everything you could possibly need (even a hair dryer!!!) Jess is the best, this place is the best.

love,

Wandered in on Weds afternoon because my mini poodle guided us there. Got some homemade treats for my dogs and a beautiful pen.

Owner and other lady were very sweet. She gave us a vet recommendation because we had an emergency situation.

We're so grateful these ladies were there in our time of need and cannot thank them enough for their kindness.

They ship dog toys to Florida! Ciao Ciao's dog toy is the only one I've ever purchased that lasted longer than two years!

I stopped into this establishment because I have lived in the neighborhood for many years and I prefer to support local businesses. That being said, I am surprised this store is still open. The owner was dismissive, rude, and gave an impression of being too busy to answer questions. She was in the process of pointing to the back of her shop to find what I was looking for as her friends had just walked in and she was more excited to talk to them than help me.

I also find it interesting that when a poor review is posted, the owner replies with a long message of excuses and very little offer of suitable reimbursement.

It is peculiar that my previous negative review along with a very condescending reply from the owner, has been deleted.

Moldy treats, poor selection in some areas, an owner that only offers excuses - this little shop of horrors has potential under a different owner that is actually business and customer oriented rather than someone who just came up with a catchy name.
There are many other specialty pet shops that are locally owned by nicer people. I encourage everyone to explore the other options.

Nothing better than supporting a small business! The owner is awesome, not only running the store front, but a rescue as well. Most products locally sourced, and she is very informed/knowledgeable. Great to know that store is connected to the rescue to help support small business & good cause at once. Pets welcome too for yummy home baked treats!

Well yes you can’t please everybody but being a small business owner fairly new one at that you should put customers first and foremost. Should have told your friends to wait then finished with the customer and thier experience in your store so as to have a repeat customer and potential new ones. If you miss the mark that’s on you and they have every right to say what they want.
