My family has gone to Chanticleer Vet for years but I just took my baby to them for the first time today! The waiting room was amazing and you can really tell that it's built with the animals in mind, there's even cubbies to put your cats (in their carriers) so they don't have to sit at your feet which was a feature I really appreciated. All of staff was super sweet but I was particularly impressed with Dr. Jennifer Barton, her attention and care for the animals she works with really shows through, she was so sweet and I loved watching her interact with my cat! Everything was taken care of swiftly and professionally from all the vet techs and Dr. Barton, my usually high anxiety and high stress even seemed to be comfortably with them after her care was done, overall I will absolutely be coming back for any of my pets needs and recommending Chanticleer Vet to any friends and family ?

My partner and I have had a wonderful experience at Chanticleer Veterinary Hospital taking our dog, Brody, there. The staff are all very friendly, supportive, and sweet. They took care of Brody so well and made sure he was calm and felt safe. Dr. Sullivan was incredibly thorough and took time to answer all of our questions and concerns. I can honestly say it's been the best vet experience we've had!

My service animal was a regular patient at Chanticleer until the new veterinarian, Dr. Jennifer Barton, took over. For years, I enjoyed Dr. Meadows' warm welcomes and brought Christmas gifts for her staff, but this year, the new veterinarian refused to provide care for my service animal after only meeting me twice, citing discomfort with my disability symptoms. This is not only unprofessional but also discriminatory and a clear violation of ADA laws. I requested they reconsider their decision and advocated for my disability, but their practice manager was unwilling to comply with the law.

To make matters worse, my disability symptoms were inappropriately documented and mischaracterized in my service animal’s medical records. This information has no relevance to my dog’s health and should never have been included. Their actions have subjected me to discrimination and disability harassment, and I am still waiting for them to address my request to remove these personal details and their inappropriate comments from my service animal’s records.

Dr. Jennifer Barton never accommodated my symptoms or explained her discomfort during prior visits, leaving me no chance to discuss my condition or seek understanding. In fact, she waited until my service animal needed urgent care to deny service instead of addressing her concerns when my animal was healthy. Withholding care when it was most needed felt both cruel and inhumane. This not only caused unnecessary suffering but also forced me into a costly emergency visit. I believe Dr. Jennifer Barton waited for my animal to be unhealthy to deny service, and this speaks volumes about her lack of care for the animal well-being.

I do not recommend this clinic to anyone, especially those with disabilities, due to their lack of communication, lack of respect for patients’ rights and clear disregard for the law.

I brought my two middle-aged cats in for an annual checkup with Dr. Barton. I spent many years at another veterinary office, where we met Dr. Barton originally, and was generally satisfied with the care. When I couldn't get an appointment with a female vet, I sought out a new vet and was so lucky to find Chanticleer. Dr. Barton took a lot of time and care with my two cats, and took the time to explain and show things like concerning teeth to me. She even clipped nails and gave vaccinations in the room. I love the office, staff, and Dr. Barton. I cannot recommend them more highly.

Excellent experience w/ Chanticleer Vet Hospital! Dr. Dantzler seemed knowledgeable and easy to talk to, gentle and kind with my dog, good bedside manner and customer care, just what I needed after stressing about my dog not feeling well. Tech and office staff were also very good at their jobs. They squeezed us in last minute on a Friday afternoon, when our established vet was too busy to see us. Joni and I are grateful!!

I went here for my puppy and paid for a puppy package the first 2 rounds out of 3 went perfectly by the doctor no soreness nothing.
Then the 3rd time it was injected by a nurse because the doctor was busy and she left my dog in pain and agony claiming it was the medication, which I believed the first time was improper injection.
I did get 2 shots that time but the rabies shot has close no reaction as stated by the doctor then I went back to get the Leptospirosisn shot for them to go to the beach and I let them know what happened the last time how he was in pain so they decided without telling me it would be an upcharge for not included on the puppy package they shot him with Benadryl even though he didn't need it and that shot went perfectly fine because it was a ministered by the doctor.
Then the same nurse puts another needle in him doesn't even get the injection out because he does the same cry in agony even though he just got a shot from the doctor 2 minutes prior and was perfectly fine then the doctor put in the shot that the nurse tried inject the Leptospirosis shot and it went perfectly fine again so that confirmed that it was user error.
Then they charge me extra which I felt pressured into paying for and when I called back to talk about it they were rude and instead of refunding or offering a discount or credit they were rude and lost more business in the long run, I had two appointments lined up with them that would have been more then the $60 Benadryl they insisted to give him without telling me that I would be paying more out of pocket that not included in my already paid for my puppy package. I would have paid more for just the next visit alone but they wanted to deny the fact that it was user error and probably felt insulted and let their ego get the best of them and let there emotions get in the way of there business.
I had already paid for the package so I didn't expect any more fees but they will charge you without notice and they will put your dog on unnecessary drugs and medications if you let them to cover up there negligence and improper use of a needle from the nurse.
They still have the chance to do the right thing if a manger wants to give me a call they have my number and I'll remove my honest review

Dr. Barton is an experienced vet with expertise in senior cats. She is warm and caring, and inspires confidence and trust. The office is well managed, staffed by kind and competent people, the wait to see Dr. Barton and her assistant Katie short, and the appointment itself unrushed and thorough. My older cat, who suffers from kidney disease, is in good hands.
