Do not send your loved on to this place. My wife was treated poorly. While I was away on a business trip my wife called me and I knew there was something going wrong with her. I immediately called the nurses station and their attitude was very nonchalant and uncaring. Needless to say, I am in a panic. I spent the next thirty minutes trying to call different floors to get my wife some help. My wife was in the process of having a stroke and no one cared. Sad to say that my wife is now deceased. I would not wish this pain on no one. I trusted that this facility would care for my wife and now I have lost my wife and my kids has lost their mother. Please do not send your loved one here and to the ones who work there and provide no care and or compassion, remember poor health could happen to any one of us and you would want and need compassion

Wouldn't put my mother-in-law there!!!

Staff are horrible. They could not and refused to provide me with necessary medical equipment like a bedside commode, oxygen, etc. Even the bed was broken when I got there. It took them more than a day to swap the bed for a functional one. I had to prop my leg up on a pile of pillows to keep it elevated as ordered by the doctors.

When I arrived, the nurse wanted EMS transport to leave me on the bed without oxygen (I'm on 6 liters!) while they searched and tried to find oxygen for me. They knew I needed oxygen before I left the hospital! Thank God the EMS refused because it took them over 15 minutes to find it.

I waited for FOUR HOURS with an over-full, nearly rupturing, bladder while begging for a commode before they brought one. The nursing supervisor told me to just pee and poop on myself in the bed and they would "clean me up the best they can." I was told to do that repeatedly for the next 24 hours until PT would have time to evaluate me and get me a commode!

They wanted me to walk down the hall to the bathroom, while I was completely non-weight bearing on one leg. They were fine telling me to do that while I was virtually bedridden but wouldn't get me a commode that I could easily transfer to from the bed "because it was not allowed" until the PT department cleared me to use a commode. Standing and pivoting I wasn't allowed to do but WALKING 45 feet, without crutches or a walker, when I couldn't put one foot on the floor at all is okay! I guess that really means it was okay for me to HOP ON ONE LEG for 45 feet, which I couldn't do even if I wasn't sick. Why without my crutches or a walker? Because that would require being cleared by PT the following day also. STUPID!

They didn't have any of my meds, including pain medicine, for 30+ hours and I was in 9/10 pain. After me screaming in pain for about 12 hours, they finally started giving me some pain meds from their back-up but it was only HALF THE DOSE. And, the nurse practitioner bold faced LIED TO ME for the next 24 hours, insisting that it was the full dose till I showed her the Google search proving it was only half the dose. She just walked out of my room.

Don't be fooled by this place's responses to bad reviews with a request to call them to help straighten it out. The administrators showed up when I demanded to see them, but when I laid out all the problems, they disappeared and flat-out refused to come see me. An educated or intelligent patient is their worst nightmare. They are counting on patients who are too old and frail to object to their terrible treatment.

The facility administrators further ghosted me when I insisted on being transferred. I had to threaten to call the police to force them to prepare my records for transfer when I was able to arrange it myself.

It was the single worst medical experience anyone I know has ever had. They have a great Google score because they bought most of their reviews.

The staff was very friendly and seem to be very caring to the patient, I also appreciated how the building and rooms were clean and the staff took pride in making sure every thing was in order. Our Head Admin stopped in to make sure everything was alright. Which was appreciated.

I would personally like to thank Nurse Raven who works at Caring Heart! She went above
and beyond her job! She caught very important information regarding my medication treatment. That was detrimental to my health!!!!. She was definitely a lifesaver for me. Because if she didn’t catch the error. My Healing would have been delayed for sure and it wouldn’t have been good for me! She deserves to be recognized for all her hard work and dedication to the detail of her job! It was a pleasure to work with her. She is a breath of fresh air! I've been meaning to post a huge shout out to the whole staff on 5 MT Airy for making the 3 months over this past summer as comfortable and easy as they could have, I have to say that all of you nurses and the CNA's were amazing and in my experience so was the physical therapy department, I don't know if any of you guys check these reviews but if you do please tell Tiffany the nurse from 5 MT Airy that Shawn says hello and I'm doing great and still taking things slow but healing as best as can be expected. This was not my first rehabilitation facility I had to go to but now that I've been there and know how amazing the staff is I wouldn't go anywhere else nor would I recommend anywhere but Caring Heart. Again thank you all and you'll always be in my thoughts and prayers. 💯🤩
