I am so grateful for Calusa. Between my mom & I we have 9 animals that all go to Calusa. We started coming 4 years ago when I was dog sitting for my mom and her dog Little Bear got very sick. I brought him to my local vet where he almost died I picked him up from there and brought him straight to Calusa. The team at Calusa acted swiftly to save his life as he did not have much time left. Had I not brought him here he would no longer be with us. After this, we started bringing all of our fur babies to Calusa for emergencies as they are a bit far from me. Everytime we have had an emergency with one of the 9 animals Calusa has been there to save the day. Then last year my 16 year old Chihuahua Daisy got sick. I knew Calusa was the only way to go. Daisy had a mouth tumor, bad teeth, heart disease, kidney disease, spinal disease & chronic bronchitis. DR. CRANE did Daisys mouth surgery and kept me updated step by step AS I WAS A NERVOUS WRECK. She was able to relate to me as she is also a Chihuahua mom and had been through a lot with her babies. I felt that she truly understood what I was going through so I believed her when she told me everything would be ok. Then I started seeing DR. KRAWITZ regularly for Daisys check-ups. He was able to help her TREMENDOUSLY with supplements. She is completely stable not progressing with any of these diseases. SHES ACTUALLY GOTTEN BETTER which usually isn’t how it goes when
dogs start deteriorating with age. I COULD NOT BE MORE GRATEFUL. Daisy is doing the best she has in years. The staff here is incredible. PAOLA at the front desk is so warm and welcoming and in my opinion the face of Calusa. She’s the first one you see when You walk in with a big smile? She has talked me through making a life style change for Daisy ? to accommodate her illnesses. NIKKI, DR. KRAWITZ assistant is also amazing and so helpful at all of Daisys appointments. HONESTLY, Everyone on this team genuinely cares and will go above and beyond to help you with anything going on with your animals. The time they spend making sure your pet has a successful beautiful life is mind blowing. They are never in a rush and never to busy to genuinely care. CALUSA is the best pet hospital HANDS DOWN. I only wish I found them sooner. Daisy is my best friend in this world for 16 years and because of them ESPECIALLY DR. KRAWITZ I have more time with Daisy, the love of my life. Words can’t express what they have done for me but I will never take my animal babies anywhere but here.

SINCERELY FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART THANK YOU SO MUCH CALUSA! Dr. Crane, Dr. KRAWITZ, Paola & Nikki.

Dr Krane is compassionate and competent, as are the nurses
and assistants.
Unfortunately, I had to let my eldest cat, Abby, go, a few weeks ago. Abby was my heart. She and I were treated with dignity, respectfully and lovingly. Yesterday, my cat, Cleo (Cleocatra) had her wellness check with Dr Krane, with Elizabeth assisting, along with someone whose name I do not know. As always, professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. Cleo was very frightened, but they made her comfortable and kept her calm. Thank you, Dr. Krane. ?

Been coming here with my dog for 11 years now, I have adored all the people that work there. The vets, nurses, techs and staff are so lovely, wonderful, knowledgeable and kind. They remember my boy by name and also shower him with love to ease his anxiety. I honestly haven’t been to a vet I love more than this place. They care about your pets and take the best care of them. Below is my boy visiting the pharmacy and getting some treats.

Excellent care for my long-time ill, 18-yo rescue Pomeranian named Little Bit who died after years of CHF. He’d been under the care of another vet until recently, but CVC tried valiantly to save him. They were very kind and respectful when my baby passed. ?

I had an amazing experience at Calusa Veterinary Center! The team, Dr. Fryer, Andrew L., and Paola, were incredibly kind, compassionate, and professional while caring for my cat. From the moment we walked in, I felt reassured by their welcoming atmosphere and expert knowledge, especially during such a difficult and scary time for us. They took the time to explain everything in detail, answered all my questions, and made sure my boy was comfortable throughout the process. It's clear they genuinely care about their patients. I’m so grateful for the exceptional care they provided, and I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for top-notch veterinary services! I can’t say thank you enough.

We have been coming to Calusa for nearly 2 decades. Over the years, a dozen cats, 3 were barn cats, and a couple of pups, we currently have 2 kitties, we have run the gamut of veterinary needs, some very rare and serious. Every ounce of attention and detail to our fur babies' health is taken. Dr. Cindy Krane has been and is our primary doctor. She has guided us with knowledge, care and empathy. When we needed specialists, Dr Krane got us the best (eyes, cardiologist, cancer, amputation, genetic disorders and so on...). Amanda, Suzanne, and Rose have been stedfast with us as well. The whole Calusa team and the supporting physicians that work with Calusa are second to none. We also use their pet resort. Yes, it's a resort. We travel a lot! And there is no other place we would leave them with. The staff spoil our critters. A couple of years ago we moved to Lauderdale by the Sea area and we still make the drive to north Boca for all our pets' needs. Calusa's staff and doctors have loved our pets as their own. When it was time to let them, one by one, cross the rainbow bridge, everyone came in to say goodbye, shed tears, and tell stories of their antics. Calusa Veterinary Center stands above all the others. Thank you Calusa for everything.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Fryer, Dr. Johnson, and their dedicated staff for saving my beloved dog, Eclipse. Eclipse was diagnosed with Addison’s disease, a challenging condition to identify. Their professionalism, experience, and meticulous attention to detail are the reasons Eclipse is still with us today.

Eclipse holds a special place in our family, and the thought of losing her felt like losing a cherished family member. Throughout the emergency, Dr. Fryer and Dr. Johnson maintained constant communication. I also want to commend them for their exceptional work. It’s compassionate professionals like them who truly make a difference in this world. Thank you.
