I thought my Honda powered push mower was almost ready for the scrap heap, but Todd brought it back to life. I realize now that the shops I’ve been going to (for seasonal maintenance) weren’t getting the job done. My mower runs and cuts like new. I’ve found my new small engine repair shop.

They had the parts that I needed in a pinch; but won't bother doing business with them ever again. Their prices are very high and the staff is pretentious; they know much more than anyone else. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, that's possible. However, given that my father also has had similar experiences with them, I believe that is their MO.

I try my best to support local business, but given the cavalier attitudes and high part prices; do yourwallet and temper a favor and buy online.

Bought a Toro Timecutter back in April of 2018, couldnt be happier with my purchase. Now 05/2020 had 1 service issue. Trevor and Todd came out and fixed it on the trailer,sent me on my way !! VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER !!!

Having a problem with a DeWalt chain saw. Couldn't get it to start. Stopped by to see if they could work on it, and they very nicely (and without laughing) showed me that it was an operator issue and nothing wrong with the chain saw! Thanks you!!!

Went there today to ask about my lawn mower, since they are a lawn equipment dealer. The guy told me we do not deal kind. I sorry but you are a lawn and equipment store how do you not work on every kind of lawn equipment. Do not go there you are better going to someone else.

I shopped around for a zero-turn riding lawnmower at all the 'Big Box' stores before looking at the smaller shops like C&E and Ace Tractor Supply. I was initially put off by C&E's prices and the previous negative review, but my concerns faded quickly. The first person to approach me was Tom Durgin, who I later learned is the sales manager. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I told him what I was looking for....a mower for home use on 2.5 acres. Instead of trying to talk me into buying something more than what I needed, Tom actually talked me down into a smaller model based on my needs. I was shown the features of the different models, then allowed to "test drive" them around the parking lot! Afterward, Tom did everything within his power to find manufacturer promotions, etc., and put me on a lawnmower for a little less than I would have paid at the 'Big Box' stores AND got me a 4 year warranty, AND delivered my mower to my house, ready to mow! I also know that if I have a maintenance issue with my new mower, I can take it back to C&E and they will perform that maintenance.

I cannot speak for ALL of C&E's employees, but the three employees I made contact with (including Tom) were friendly and wanted to ensure that I was "taken care of". I heard one employee explaining the detrimental effects of ethanol on carburetors to another customer and I might be able to see where someone might feel that employee had a "know-it-all" attitude, but I personally felt that employee was just sharing his experience and knowledge with the customer to help that customer prolong the life of his lawn equipment.

One final thought....A large percentage of C&E's store inventory is geared toward professional or commercial users. With that said, it should be no surprise if parts are a bit more expensive, even if for homeowner-level equipment. With that said, I would not expect C&E to perform an economical repair of my $100 gas trimmer from Wal-Mart; I'd either repair it myself or go buy a new one.

I highly recommend C&E for your lawn care needs if you aren't looking for budget equipment, and I especially give kudos to Tom Durgin for the personal care he took with my sale.

Dropped off a weedeater and they charged me $73 to replace the carb. Didn't check or replace the old fuel or air filter or the spark plug. Weedeater still wouldn't run. Two trips to town already and they won't issue any credit for the trouble. Won't go back.
