Have been going to Brooklyn Vet since October 2002. Dr Tauro was our main Doctor but we also saw Dr Madenjian as well. Both gave excellent care, diagnosis and recommendations. I just had an issue with my Shih Tzu with a sore back leg, and some bleeding from her backside. They have a “new to them” Veterinarian Dr. Banning. I trust if the powers that be at BV took Dr. Banning on board, she must be good. She is better than good, she is excellent. I love her approach, her explanations, her calm demeanor, and the way she examined Tasha the Monkey (Shih Tzu). Both of us love, love, love, her. We hope Dr. Banning has found her home in Brooklyn. It is a great feeling knowing when you call, Brooklyn Veterinary Hospital no matter who is available you are in capable hands. I cannot thank Alicia enough for getting us in. She was very kind and understanding even tho I had called several times; she never made me feel like I was a pest. Excellent Doctors, Excellent Techs and Excellent Front-End point of contact people. THANK YOU ALL so much. As a side note, I did not know what Dr. Banning looked like, imagine my surprise when she walked in to the exam room; she was the very same person that smiled at me while I sat in the waiting room. Best vet I've ever had! Waiting to be seen can sometimes be long but as I have a totally healthy kitten who only needs vaccination she was quick, informative and very kind. She even offers treats to help distract the animal while she works!

I love Brooklyn Vet! I appreciate most of all that they include me as a partner in the care of my pets and really listen to what I have to say. I also appreciate that they all kept their sense of humor when dealing with my elderly spitfire Oreo. The whole waiting room including the staff were laughing when we came out from one visit for a nail trim when they saw that it was a tiny old kitty who was making all that noise. One dog owner in the waiting room asked me if they were cutting her leg off. That old girl lived to be almost 20 years before she passed thanks in large part to the care she received at Brooklyn Vet. More recently my cat, Callie (in the second picture) went through a troublesome health issue but now through the excellent care she received from Dr Dawn Tauro-Miller (and the other Dawn, the vet tech, who has been there a long time through the care of many of my pets too) she appears to be back to good health. Thank you to everyone (front desk staff, techs and veterinarians) at this amazing office.

Great facility they have been wonderful to work with. I have been bring my dog there since I got her four years ago. My dog is always happy to visit they take great care to make sure she is comfortable.

This is the best hospital I have ever been to and the staff reflects the integrity and caring of the doctors. I have 8 animals they care for and the care is stellar in all ways. Plus, if one of their patients needs immediate attention, they make themselves available if possible. They are extremely reasonable in their prices as well. If you truly love your pet, this is the place.

Doc was right on when she diagnosed our dog. We thought he was going to die, but she prescribed the proper treatment and later he vomited up what had made him so sick. The next day they treated him again with more fluids and by the end of the day he was back to his good ole self. I’m so grateful for how the treated him and us. They were so compassionate and so kind when we all tromped in there to visit our dog because we were not yet sure whether he would make it or not. They are the best!

I am always happy with my experience at this vet office. I have a very difficult cat (friends and family are literally terrified to come over because of him) but the staff at Brooklyn Vet don’t even bat an eye when I bring my little demon in. We used to go to another vet office until the vet came out and screamed at us for how mean our cat is, so we made the decision to switch to Brooklyn. I have been taking the fur devil to them for about 2 years now and I am so glad we made the switch. They are always friendly and professional and take every hiss and attempted murder in stride. Thank you for not turning us away despite his best attempts!
