Brooklyn Gardens took really good care of my 90 year old mother who had suffered a stroke and was suffering from dementia. The nurses were extremely attentive and professional. They were also personable and we formed friendly bonds with a few of them. This contributed greatly to feeling assured that in our absence that our mother was being well taken care of.

Tried to give zero stars.- My mother complained every day that she stayed here. Nurses ignored her calls and talked about her. Doctors werent equipped to handle anything requiring her to have multiple ER trips. Ultimately, my mother passed away on her last ER trip from that place

The staff is so informative and pleasant which makes visiting my family member easy. The security guards are helpful and friendly.

Just called, 1/18/2025, at 12:24 pm, and the front desk transferred me to what I believe was the nurse's station. After I greeted her I asked, does this facility offer long term rehabilitation? Her response was "yes".
My next question was will admissions be open on Monday being that it's a holiday?
She said, probably Tuesday.
My last question was: does this facility handle patients with "sundowners"? (Sundowners is when a person reflects and reacts to a traumatic experience they faced or witnessed in the past and this reaction starts when the sun goes down)
Her response was: Ms. I'm not a nurse.
I told her, that wasn't my question to you. All you had to say was, please call back when admissions is opened so the correct information can be provided.
Hopefully this is read and the weekend staff can be retrained on how to provide exceptional customer service. For this reason I will not consider this facility for my parent.

I was there visiting my friend nephew on his birthday the staff had a cake for him, which was such a nice thing to do the staff as always very pleasant.

If I could put zero stars I would. The people working here should be ashamed to say they work here but maybe they are too incompetent to even realize they make this place terrible. From the administration to the nurses to the security. I know that for some this might be the only insurance option but BELIEVE me when I say it is NOT worth it. Explore other options.

My father stayed here for only 4 days before I had to take him out. In those 4 days the negligence was through the roof. He was not given his medication and we implored them that he needs to be on a strict schedule for his medication because of his hypertension. They LIED and said he was given his medication and my father would say he didn’t receive any or not the amount he was supposed to receive. In 4 days my father’s pressure was SO HIGH he could have had a stroke!!!! PLEASE your loved one is worth much more than this facility can give them. DO NOT send them here!!!

I came to see my friend that I sit with in Church she was in good spirits. I observed the care she and her sister received while I was there and I was pleased. The workers were kind and took care of them right away. I left knowing that both of them was in good care. Thank you to the Staff. Blessings 🙌
