Interacting with Lori, the store owner has been such a great experience. I started out with contacting her about Degus and really liked how she explained things and made me feel comfortable to drive a couple hours from home to choose our new little furry friends. I read that she would do 10% off if my child would write a 2 page paper on how to care for a Degu. I find that this was an AWESOME way to introduce a new addition to our family and have my kids understand the responsibility and how to really take care of their new pets "IF" I got them for them. Honestly adults should have to do this too! 🙂
The research that my 8 year old did was so awesome and truly had us learning a lot about our little guys before we even decided to bring them home!
We were able to choose our 2 little Degus (or should I say they chose me). I had already prepared a set up for them at home to be as prepared as possible and found that my new babies would need a safer enclosure while they were smaller. We were able to repurpose another glass habitat that will be safe while they grow to a size that will be appropriate until the other cage I have will work for them.
We also were gifted some food to prepare them for their arrival at their new home. They are soooo social and really have been a joy to care for them. My kids received them as a gift and boy was it a surprise and one of the happiest moments for them. The degus were already socialized and that helped to be able to introduce them to my kids. The degus themselves are really interested in the kids and being played and interacted with. It's been a joy getting to know their little personalities and let my kids learn more responsibilities that will help them as they grow up with their little furry friends. Thanks Lori for giving us this awesome gift to share with our family.

She has completely gone down hill from her previous shop, animals like crested geckos and leopard geckos losing their tails, look skinny and malnourished. Fish tanks dirty, lots with algae in them. Floor nasty, opened the fridge to get some mealworms all were dead, dead full sized bunny’s and guinea pigs in the bottom. PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!!!!!!

Not sure how this shop is still open. Dirty, cramped cages. Fish swimming in cloudy water. Birds ripping their feathers out. Dirty water bowls. Critters with injuries, sores, or worse. Visit at your own risk 💔

What an awesome experience! We were visiting from out of state and stumbled across this store. The owner is so knowledgeable and friendly. The kids got to learn about sun conures, get their pictures taken with one, and they got a coupon for a free ice cream next door. We had so much fun exploring all the animals and talking to the parrots. Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

You won't find a nicer, more animal oriented and very knowledgeable business woman in the area. Lori has always been animals first, people second. From gold fish to beautiful exotic birds, they are all her top priority and within a few minutes of speaking with her, you can see it. Her prices are hard to beat and she is always more than fair.
Always support your local small businesses. They are a cornerstone of America.

My boyfriend and I had such an amazing experience here! Just passing through town and decided to stop. I was impressed with the plethora of information the owner had on each animal. This isn’t your average pet store, this is so much more personal. Such a good spot if you have kids too! Highly highly suggest 🙂
