I rescued two Chihuahua from you. I understand you have no control over the health issues the dogs. Come in with and my dogs had health problems, but I was fine with that. What I wasn't happy with was how filthy the facility was. That is something you do have control of I could hardly handle the smell and all the feises in the kennels. You can control that clean them up. The pups are doing well. (Benny) Now Buddy, ( Nina) ? Now Roxy.

I was so impressed with the people here. They were really helpful and friendly . I read some bad reviews about this place but I found nothing buy helpful friendly people. I called first and even on the phone, the woman I talked to was very professional and made me feel welcomed. When I got to the shelter the young man who assisted me was the friendliest caring person . He knew I was kinda nervous about leaving these kittens who I have grew pretty fond of but his attitude and nurturing ,caring disposition put all of my concerns to rest . I appreciate him and the other employees I interacted with . Thank you for the jobs you do and the caring way you take care of the animals and people.

I am really disappointed with how the shelter is currently handling a situation regarding an employee of the local emergency vet and a dog who desperately needed surgery.

I used to live in the area and worked at the emergency clinic (it was under different ownership at the time). And there were countless stories I heard and as well as a close a personal experience with my sisters dog.

Regarding my sisters dog, they adopted out a German Shepard who they claimed to be 4 years old and had mild arthritis. After a veterinary exam after adoption, they were told that this dog was a minimum 6 and had servere arthritis and hip dysplasia. By sister being a good human kept the dog and spent thousands of dollars in the 3 years they were able to care for him until the pain as too much for him.

This clinic insists on professional commutations and manors from other vet professionals but do not hold themselves to the same standard. I hope they get better leadership and make the animals a top priority.

Regarding current situation- the original post was removed by emergency vet employee but the shelter posted a screen shot which included her name and though many asked them to remove her name, they refused. Very unprofessional.

By far the worst, most unhygienic shelter I have ever been to. These poor animals are neglected of the proper care and respect. Not only the environment the dogs themselves are in is completely disgusting and uncomfortable for even animals, the main office and entire area is disorganized and gross. Unfortunately the employees here are extremely selfish and unprofessional and have no concern in making sure these animals are not only safe but healthy. These animals deserve better.

The facility is older and overwhelmed. (New facility coming soon, I hear). The community definitely needs to show more love and financial support to the shelter. The employees and volunteers are amazing, loving people. Communication always good.

Heartbroken for them adopting the dog they said I could have to someone else. Truly heartless

We were looking at Cecil the husky, we were well informed on his background upon our initial meeting, we were treated courteously and professionally by the staff. The husky met my current pets and the meeting was good and went smoothly. We adopted him today with the adoption process going smoothly. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to give Cecil a good home.
