Really nice place for boarding my cat - this is the review for the Osprey/Sarasota location as that’s the only location I’m familiar with.. They have a large playroom for cats who board which is one of the attractive amenities. Note that I’m very picky about who takes care of my feline.

The people working there are very kind - Maddie is good with my cat. There is a separate (very large room) for cat boarding so it is away from the dog area which my cat needs. During the day, each cat or cat family are allowed to roam around in the playroom and play with the different toys and climbing apparatus that they have.

It is also quiet and you can tour it if there are no cats in the playroom. I would call ahead to ask. It is also also clean and well kept. I am literally OCD about cleanliness and would never place my cat in an unsanitary place.

Everybody is organized also. Laurie in management is very helpful. I normally email them to request the boarding stays and I get prompt and friendly responses. This resort is not just for dogs. They really do have a great program for cat boarding.

Love to get a report card at the end of the stay. There is a reason why this company gets so many community awards. It’s because they’re the best in the area in my opinion.

PS I usually get the penthouse suite for my spoiled (lol) feline, but there’s other options that are spacious. I would recommend booking well ahead of a trip if possible, especially during season as they book up fast. There’s a lady I know I know who drives from Naples to board her cat here as she normally flies out of the SRQ airport.

I loved bringing my Siberian baby to the puppy class on Saturday with trainer John. A true dog whisperer. The Bayside pet resort is professionally managed. The receptionists are supper efficient even reaching out to my veterinarian for paperwork I needed to participate. Plus allowing my older dog a safe place during puppy class. If I could use a -9. I do not recommend Bayside Pet Resort North Port/Wellen Park. From the moment of initial contact to pick up, the only thing that went right is my dogs are still alive.
I believe communication and process is probably the issue with them, but it does not excuse what happened.
We made reservations for our 5 month old puppy and 1 1/2 yr old dog, specifically to keep them together. First phone call, person I spoke to was friendly and helpful, even calling manager to confirm it is ok for the puppy to come without rabies vaccine since he is not old enough and would be away from the other dogs. Second call to add a night since we would not be able to make it back by 3:30 pick up time, total confusion. Told we absolutely had to have the puppy vaccinated for rabies. Moved our vet appointment up and had puppy vaccinated even though our vet did not want to do it. Vet even called the resort himself. Then we were told the resort would get records from the vet. Next we needed to scan and send the records. Does anyone there speak to each other?
Worst of all our dogs were separated for the first time ever for 2 nights. We could see video of one dog in kennel, for two dogs, but not the other. Of course when we finally were able to see this the place was closed and had to wait overnight to go get them and find out our 1 1/2 yr old dog was ok and the dogs were NEVER together in same kennel. These are a 5 lb puppy and a 9 lb young dog not use to being alone ever! I am furious. I would never take my pets there again. To top this off, they charged us for the 2 separate kennels that they put them in!! I am beyond furious.
UPDATE: Manager called me told me the mistakes were completely their fault and apologized. She also offered partial refund for services. I appreciate the follow up and apology. Still not sure I would use them again.

This is the best place I have ever used to board my dog, a German Shepherd. Everyone here is nice and polite. The place is spotless and they treat my dog like a queen. I even get a report card when I pick her up that tells me exactly how she behaved for her entire trip.

Update July 18th. Just picked up Kiyah from another visit. I cannot say enough great things about Bayside. I love everything about it. Staff is amazing and look at the Lodging Report Card you get at the end of your dog's stay (Pic attached).

This is Chaz and he loves the Bayside Pet Resort. He gets trimmed there and they do a fantastic job on this little guy. Take a look at his Christmas hair cut.

I love the hours, the fun times they offer dogs of all ages in their size appropriate play areas and the fact that he is so excited to go there for play.

The Pet resort offers day care which is so nice for those times when you can’t leave them hime alone all day. Very reasonable. Best place ever.

My dog LOVES Bayside! He comes home from doggy daycare exhausted. He has so much fun playing in the pool. The workers are so attentive and really make sure you know your pet is in good hands and being loved while they are there.

This is a wonderful place! My large dog Shadow loves it here. The staff is always friendly and helpful and they are very nice to our animals. The other dogs in daycare are sweet and fun too!
