Update: My dog loves to go to Bayside, Lakewood Ranch. And, He loves his groomer, Chelsea. I always want to take pictures of him when he gets home from grooming!

I have just started taking my Havanese for doggie-daycare here (he’s been there four times so far) and I am very pleased with the facilities and people and the hours and the experience overall. I will continue to bring my pup for daycare (and watch him on the Internet! To see him enjoying his time with his ‘play-group’). ❤️‍♀️?

In the future I expect we’ll also use training programs and boarding here.

Update - regular visits for doggy daycare and now also groomer (Chelsea). All good!

Update. Chelsea does a great job grooming my pup. And he loves Chelsea.

We trusted them with our sweet little Shih Tzu, and they neglected to feed him his food for 4 days!!! They misplaced his bag of stuff (blanket, food, chew bones).

I don’t know how this is okay.

We left to go to Disney World Tuesday morning and came back Friday afternoon. When we picked him up all of his food was still in the bag along with his dog treats to chew on. When we called, whoever was at the front desk said that they had “a computer error” and that his feeding instructions were not available. Can somebody tell me why they didn’t call us for four whole days?

Our dog looked exhausted, and not himself. His front paws are rubbed raw, presumably from scratching at his kennel door. When we put some food in front of him at home, he devoured it.

The woman said that they fed him other food, but that he didn’t eat a lot. He just sort of grazed. How do we even know that’s true? We were not able to figure out how to view him on the camera system at all.

When we dropped him off in the morning for his personality test, they thought that he didn’t actually have a reservation. But then they found it. Also, I was told to fill out the 17 page survey online, which, by the way, asks, completely stupid questions. I was told to fill the survey out online and then also print it off on paper to bring it in because of a problem with their computer systems. Also, by the way, I emailed his shot records, but they couldn’t find it due to their “computer systems” so they asked me to bring in a printed copy.

We had some misgivings about the place based on all of the apparent computer problems. I think the term “computer problem” for them is really just a euphemism for we are confused, incompetent, and completely disorganized.

Our dog completely slipped through the cracks. I will never trust our dog with these morons again.

The General Manager Amanda stole from me, $100. It was a care pack sent to me bc I was in Work Release, the day it arrived she let me go. Never to see my $100 in all 5's (bc of WR) my vapes nor any other items that was sent. She's fake.

My dogs - Willow & Maple - are truly loved when I bring them to Bayside Pet Resort - and my dogs truly love the love and joy they experience there. Thank you all for what you do! One of the most brilliant business models I have ever seen executed so well - I wish I would have thought of it! God bless.

Just don't. Plain and simple.
I've always used Pet Paradise for my Great Pyrenees. This past weekend I needed to board him with shorter notice and unfortunately they didn't have the VIP rooms available with the cameras and doggie patio. He's a bigger dog so we always opt for more space to ensure his comfort. This time, they were out of rooms because of the holiday. I decided to give Bayside a chance instead of putting my boy in a small room. My biggest mistake was deciding to ignore the negative reviews in lue of the many positive ones. Firstly, I called the evening before doing a tour to ask if it needed to be scheduled. I was told that there would be two receptionists by 8 am and to try to come in before the rush at 9 am. Came in the next day, there was one receptionist by herself. She couldn't take me for a tour until the other receptionist came in, which wasn't until 9 am. Miscommunication number #1. Overall the tour was nice and the receptionist was (I thought originally) helpful. I was told about rooms, costs, playtimes, etc. Booked the reservation, everything was going well. I was told by the receptionist that took me on tour (Michelle) that I could bring my pet in anytime during the open hours for drop off. I asked her if it would be okay to come in the afternoon (hoping it would be less busy) and do his daycare evaluation then for group play on Friday 6/28/24 around 2 pm. I was told yes that would be fine. That was miscommunication #2. Fast forward to drop off date and we came in at 1:30pm. I was told by two other receptionists that they would not be able to do the temperament test and that they only do them in the mornings around 9 to 10 am. Okay... I was getting slightly aggravated. They promised they would call me tomorrow morning when they completed his test and let me know if he passed or failed so we could adjust playtimes accordingly. Miscommunication #3. They never called. So I called. I watched my dog on the camera, logined in every hour and sometimes sooner. He never went out, not once. They completely forgot about him. When on the phone with the receptionist, the first response was "That's because he checked in at 2 pm yesterday". I called on Sunday. He was checked in on Friday. I corrected her and said no he has been in your care since Friday the 28th. She said "oh we must've been short staffed". I explained that I was very frustrated because I had already been told incorrect information and was promised they would call me. She told me they would get it done that day (Sunday 6/30/24). His results were that he failed. I asked why because he has been socialized since he was a puppy and regularly goes to daycare. She said it was because he seemed disinterested and didn't want to play with the other dogs. I mean ... okay not every dog wants to play 24/7. Mine is frankly a big couch potato that acts like an old man and will gets bursts of energy and want to play for short amounts of time. (He's not old, he's 2 1/2). We never had problems with his play style at Pet Paradise, they even had permission to take him inside to his room if he got tired or overwhelmed by too many dogs. I signed him up for the nature walk 2x a day for the rest of his stay. I'm not even entirely sure they took him out to play because again everytime I checked the camera he was locked in his room. Over the phone call I asked where his bed had been placed because after Saturday morning cleaning they never put it back in. (It is a large crib mattress). They said he had chewed the bed down to the springs and they had tossed it out but would send pictures they had taken. This really concerned me as my dog has never ever chewed anything. I have had him since 7 weeks old. He has a bark box toy subscription and the squeaky toys that have toys inside he's never even gotten to because he is just so gentle with everything. At Pet Paradise they have crib mattress beds in the VIP rooms and he's never damaged anything. And if he did, why did not one person call to inform us in case he ingested foam and got a blockage having to go to the ER.

Took a step out of my comfort zone and decided to board my dogs when I took a trip out of state. That was my first time ever leaving the boys with someone I didn’t know. However, Bayside took great care of them. They had cameras that allow you to check in on them or watch the dogs play in different areas. They answered all my questions and kept my mind at ease. Would recommend this facility to any first time boarding moms and dads (and everyone else duh).

Our Springer Spaniel, Kimber, absolutely loves Bayside Pet Resort. The staff is incredible ! He gets excited as we pull into the parking lot. He eagerly trots through the door to say hello. The staff greets him affectionately.
We sold our home at the end of June. We lived temporarily in a condo while our new home was being built. I received a complaint that Kimber was barking when we left for work. So we decided to try doggie daycare. We checked out a few and felt most comfortable with Bayside Pet Resort in Lakewood Ranch.
I was attending work related training for 3.5 weeks. The facility opens 7 am. I spoke to Julie the manager regarding arranging an early open during my training to allow me to get there in time.
Every morning a staff member greeted us with a smile at 6:45 am.
Kimber stayed for day lodging Monday through Friday from July until last week, as we moved into our new home. He stayed overnight for 2 days as we moved into new home.
We have mostly settled in at new house now. Kimber hasn’t been to Bayside in over a week. We have a few prepaid day lodgings left. I took Kimber this morning. He excitedly jumped into front seat as he recognized the building. His tail wagged as he was greeted. Kimber happily followed the staff member for his day of play, petting, & belly rubs.
We definitely will still bring Kimber periodically to Bayside Pet Resort. He enjoys it so much !
