Word of caution brought my snake in for an emergency visit cause I gave it a mouse too big after making me wait half an hour I was charged $150 for the visit, but I thought fine at least my snake is fine.Three days later she passed away I asked the manager for a refund and was told no “these things happen “.

Dr Roskopf is incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate. I brought my atelopus barbotini in last week, and he gave me antibiotics to put them on because we are unsure if the pet shop lied about them being wild caught or not. I appreciate everything him and his team did for me and my toads. I only give four stars because the appt was about a half hour late, and we arrived 15 min early. Like with humans, things happen with animals, and if my pet needed an extra half hour of care, I would hope the next patient would be compassionate- this doesn’t seem like a place that plans poorly. You can’t go inside, which bothers me and is why I give four stars, because I prefer to be with my animals when I take them anywhere. Frogs and toads are easily stressed, new environments being the thing that stresses them out most, people often strongly recommend against taking them to the vet, but Nick Stacy aka indicator species recommended I go given the circumstances- (he is the first hobbiest to successfully breed atelopus outside a lab) so the extra time in the deli cup probably wasn’t great. Their prices are very reasonable, but having to sit in my car in an uncovered parking space was a bit difficult, and I wasn’t able to turn off my car or the a/c would turn off, which wasted a lot of gas…

Unfortunately the toad passed away a few days later, and Dr. Roskopf called me back right away and suggested I get an necropsy done asap, in case it can help with the one toad I do still have.

Speaking of gas, bless the people that work at the auto repair next door ? the screaming bird sounds can’t be easy to work next door to lol (not a critique of the vet, just to end things on a light note)

Ps- please do not buy animals from pet stores, go to reputable breeders directly. There are so many people that will do anything to make a sale, coming across this Doctor was a nice reminder there are good humans out there that actually care.

This place has been nothing but kind to my dwarf hamsters. Good local place that charges reasonably for services, and has been very helpful with medications/solutions for the conditions my pets have had.

They do not do emergency visits but will sometimes look to get a time slot/appointment sooner if possible.

Great place for your exotic animals. yes can be difficult to get appointment or reach them but your animals are in great hands here!! I drive 1.5 hours for care for my yellow napped amazon and have never gone anywhere else!

Dr. Rosskopf is a great doctor and he took great care in diagnosing my leopard gecko, Tenga, with an internal parasite. She was not eating for weeks. He took radiographs, bloodwork, and prescribed antibiotics and a dewormer, and wished me luck on my pursuit as a veterinary student. After the treatment she received, she was eating normally within a week. My only complaint is that I couldn't enter the clinic with her to greet the doctor, I instead had to wait in the car during treatment.

I’ll give 3 stars. Care was good but it’s extremely weird that we can’t go in with our pets. This clinic seems to be extremely paranoid. Not sure why.
