I have been hesitant to leave a review but feel compelled to do so....

I was referred to this groomer a couple of years ago by a neighbor. The owner is sweet and her prices are fair. The young woman who help me with check-in and check-out was amazing! However, one of her groomers - is not very friendly.

I brought my two mini schnauzers there a few times over the last couple of years but stopped after one of my schnauzers came home twice with his ear nicked. The groomer seemed very flustered both times with my pup when I arrived to pick them up. So I decided to try another groomer...

However, on March 26th, my usual groomer was unavailable so I decided to give As the Tail Wags another try. I asked for 2 standard mini schnauzer full groom cuts. No skirt and a trim on the legs. About an hour after drop off, I received a call that one of my schnauzer's beards was matted and would probably need to be shaved off. (I must note that this is the only groomer that I have ever had complain about matting with my pups). When I arrived to pick them up, they were both completely shaved down. No leg fur and my one schnauzer did not have a beard. In addition, both have uneven patches throughout. The groomer who shaved my pup's beard yet again seemed flustered and inpatient with my pup. As she walked over to hand him to me, I heard her say "will you quit" in a frustrated manner.

To say I am frustrated and disappointed is an understatement. I am a very understanding person however, I was charged $70 EACH DOG. Their teeth were not cleaned and they did not smell bathed. $70 each dog!! Lesson learned! Never again!

I brought my cat to get a hair cut and not only was it super quick but I was able to stay and watch that my baby was taken care of. The owner and her daughter worked together to make sure I was very comfortable. I will definitely be back. Below is 1 before and 2 after photos of my cat Cairo.

This was my first time getting my German Shepherd puppy groomed and he looked so cute after! I’m so happy with how he looks and they were able to squeeze in my sisters dog too and you can tell they were both very well taken care of! Everyone at As The Tail Wags is so nice and I can’t wait to come back with Koga and Bruno. ?

My Toy Schnauzer was butchered at this salon. I asked the owner to leave the beard alone (see before picture in the PJs). She was supposed to have a mini groom. They butchered her face. One eyebrow is longer than the other and the beard was definitely ruined as you can see from the pictures. Not only did they ruin my puppy's face, I was charged an express fee that was not disclosed when i dropped her off. In total, $60 for a mini groom, which includes the fee. I have made an appointment to get my baby fixed with another groomer. I will never return here again.

We had an appointment this morning for 8am to get a cat grooming. We medicated our kitty, took time off work and did everything we could to make sure he has a good experience to get groomed. Drove all the way here and find a note on door (closed for the remainder of the week)? No call or any communication letting us know they would be closed …… I just made this appointment on Tuesday 2/1/2022

While I completely understand issues come up but to not call, text or any notification is such poor communication.

I have gone here 4 times first time was great plus $65 for a full groom. Then second time I went for a $15 bath special and ask if they could
shave anual area, when I went to pick him up they charged $65, I didnt know shaving the anual area would cost me $50. Then last time I went I wanted a full groom I had set an appointment on line and even got two text confirmation reminders but when I showed up t he ey told me I didnt have an appointment took my Goldendoodle anyways and since they were in a hurry they shaved him down completely no hair left except in his ears, they didn't clean ears out but still charged me $87 more than ever before. I won't be going back again. Before and after pictures.

As The Tail Wags is awesome!!! Kristie has a heart of gold as does her team. They take the time to work with each our dogs to ensure a wonderful grooming experience. Treating all dogs as if they were their own. I can't say enough good things about this groomer!
