Dr. Wirga was amazing when we brought in our cat Rosie. She explained things and didn’t pressure us to get all the services at once and prioritized which was most important to get Rosie on the way to feeling better. We will do a follow up and do the other services as suggested.

Dr. May has been my vet since 2011. I trust him implicitly with my pups care. He has always accurately diagnosed both of my dogs, including a very rare diagnosis. He is kind, compassionate, and extremely skilled and my pups love him and his team.

My first appointment here was for routine vaccinations. My dog is very anxious and doesn’t do well in vet offices. She doesn’t bite, but she does get very scared.
Where previous vets would put a fat “AGGRESSIVE” sticker on her file, the staff here actually listen, care, and adapt the environment to make sure my dog not only feels safe, but is safe as well. They treat her like a child, not like an object. This demonstrates excellence, the way it should be.
The goal of the staff here is compassion and care - not once did I feel that I was being ripped off, or that the focus was patient volume over genuine attentiveness to my pet’s emotions and needs.
Because of this, my dog has never felt more secure in a vet’s office, and I’ve never felt more confident in the care she is receiving. In each step of the process, I am met with kind, professional, and helpful people who truly reflect a desire to help animals.
Dr. Hage is my dog’s primary doctor. She is knowledgeable, patient, and honest. She goes the extra mile to ensure she puts these traits into practice at every visit.
Every technician I have worked with has been kind and patient as well. This is extremely crucial, as these are often your dog’s first point of contact. If their attitude is off, your dog will know it.
Between Dr. Hage and the front desk staff, I have been informed every step of the way of my dog’s care, and am regularly reassured that if I need any assistance or have any questions, it’s just a phone call or visit away.

You can tell they really care. They took really good care of Einstein. My dog was feeling so good. He finally wanted to start dating girls and I had to take him back to Arizona to live with his girlfriend Punky. They used to live together and they got separated when I moved out due to my divorce and he hasn't seen his girlfriend in 3 years.

It was a wonderful reunion. He knew I was leaving him there and said goodbye to me and his girlfriend came out and thanked me and they both went inside to live happily ever after.

If it wasn't for Aptos capitola veterinarian hospital, he probably would have been itching his hot spots still and I wouldn't know that he really wanted to be with his girlfriend this is.

Less than a year ago, they removed 6 tumors from our small dog. Charged us over $3k. And now the tumors are back. Very disappointed, frustrated, and sad about our sick dog. Get your female dogs spade as early as possible to maybe prevent mammary tumors and definitely get pet insurance. Good luck.

I've been using Capitola Veterinary Hospital for the last few years and they've been nothing but amazing with my dogs. With the death of our 13 year old Golden last year, they were not only compassionate, but thorough and supportive of our decisions and next steps.
