Dr. Gary and his entire team are nothing short of amazing. He saved my dog’s life, and I will forever be grateful for his expertise and care. From the moment we walked through the doors, the staff was incredibly thoughtful, compassionate, and supportive. They treated my dog like their own and ensured he was as comfortable as possible during his stay.

The communication throughout the process was exceptional. Dr. Gary and his team kept me informed every step of the way, patiently answering all of my questions and providing updates that put my mind at ease. It was clear they genuinely cared about not just my dog, but also my peace of mind.

We had to bring our 9 year old Lab here on the evening of Dec. 23rd. While the outcome of our visit was a sad one, we and our beloved pet were treated with dignity and compassion. Dr. Gary and the staff were honest and respectful when explaining the health emergency to us. I got the feeling that he and the entire staff truly care about their patients and the work that they do. They made an extremely difficult situation as easy for us as they could.

Great staff and ER vet. They could have taken my credit card and charged me for something my pooch didn’t need, but they were forthcoming and honest. They clearly take the time as needed with each animal as you could have a decent wait in your car, so I got caught up on all the great upcoming election tweets! The Dr on staff was compassionate, empathetic and a great listener!

I wish I knew from the start. This facility closes at 8 am. Meaning, when 7:30 hits, you have to come get your pet and figure out everything else yourself.

They told us they emailed everything over to our vet. And told us to take him to the vet for further care. Then handed us our cat, who still had a catheter in, and still needed to be on fluids and treated for a urinary blockage. We get to the vet, that opens at 8, and they have nothing. No prescriptions, no paperwork. Nothing. And you can't even contact anyone at AEM since they're closed. They also didn't tell us, most vets don't even do catheter removal and have the equipment to continue treatment. We didn't figure that out until after calling about 15 local vets. We ended up bringing him to another ER, which lead to double the charges. I wish we would have just brought him there from the start.

Imagine what happens to pets in critical condition? You pick them up, half-asses treated, and have to bring them 30-60 minutes away to another ER, and what if they don't make it? Your pet and mentality deserve better.

Go here as a last resort. Value your pet. Don't make the mistake we did during a time of crisis.

Do not waste your time at Animal Emergency of Mokena because they do not act with any care or concern for your sick pet!!! I called and explained what was wrong with my sick pup. I was scared. The woman on the phone couldn't have cared less and just said "ok". I drove 25 minutes to get there and you can't even go inside the place. A woman comes to the locked door and I explained that I called and was told to bring her in right away. This woman was so rude and uncaring. She points to a sign and tells me to go to my car and call them. Then she tells me there is an hour wait and to just sit in the car until I am called. They could have told me that on the phone instead of saying it is serious and get her there. She rudely closed and locked the door as I was trying to talk. I went to my car and found a place open in Joliet who was so nice and caring on the phone. I drove 25 minutes to the other clinic and was seen right away with WAY better service and care. The funny thing is that by the time my pup was treated, tests ran, released, and driven home, I got the call back from Animal Energency of Mokena TWO HOURS AFTER I CHECKED IN! I will NEVER go back and after reading some of the reviews I see why others say the same thing. Take care of your pets and go somewhere else!

Very disappointed I had to show up at 8pm to realize you guys were closed for the day. Then had to take my pup to another emergency vet 15 minutes away. Fine. But I would have headed there first if I knew you were closed. Maybe Display ok your webpage.

The team at Animal emergency of Mokena was great. We were able to be seen with little wait on a Sunday morning. The front desk was friendly and the doc walked me through my dog's x-rays. They referred me out to a cardiologist after running diagnostics. And they were responsive to requests from my pet insurance company.
