Amenity allow ex drug addicts run the program with the exception of Raul who treated everyone like we mattered in addition to Ava,, but the rest was foul especially with the PO who only strive to return African American released to Amenity back to prison and give everyone else chance after chance. The PO is extremely racist which is why I packed my own personal property and took it to the gate and left. Today I own and operate my own business and make far more money than she and anyone else within CDCR.

So welcoming and dedicated to help the returning citizens of California. There should be more places like it. Hopefully we see more of places like this is the near future. It benefits everyone in the long run.

Horrible. Racistly biased. I've seen instances where two individuals broke the same rule and one person receives more punishment than the other. More than once I seen this happen. I left and went to another rehab. This place is a CULT and uses the threat of kicking you out and being back on the streets (if you are homeless) to get you to tell or spy on individuals they suspect of rule breaking behavior. This place should be shut down!! I was there summer of 2009. Eff Gerard and all his minions

I hated every minute I was held hostage in this place. The staff treated everyone foul.
They always threatened to ruin your life by making up false things to tell your parole officer. They don't help you find jobs. Nothing. The whole idea is to help people transition back into society. They try to keep you because you're a number to them.

ALERT*Can we give zero stars? This place will ruin you!!!! They failed my brother!!! They kept him for 7 months knowing his health condition and failed him so bad! How can you “be a foundation” for the community and than just fail the system and my brother so bad. To kick someone down that was doing so good for them self! For everyone working here, please move on with yourself and do better. You aren’t helping anyone but yourself, Money won’t help you be a good person! YOU are the problem for the community! DO BETTER AMITY FOUNDATION!

Please don’t confuse amity with your housing site. They are not the same. Your housing site gives you sanctuary and food. Amity deals with appointment transportation and communicating with Brilliant Corners about housing. Amity has done nothing but wrong with me. Scheduled me for incorrect appointments, wasting hours and hours of my time. They lied about communication with housing, delayed my housing progress by almost half a year SO FAR. They now won’t give me housing until I take anger management. I was approved months ago by them for housing, but called them out on a lie and they now say I need it. I am not an angry person, just frustrated by the lack of skill that amity has in the field. I asked to speak to the judge and they deny. I have to go on my own to get this worked out. Maybe the judge can save me from this.

Housing site is cool, Step 2 freedom, partner of odr court. Nice people, decent food, and they keep the peace at home while I’m there. But amity is bad. They found a glitch in the system and can work as slow as they want and do bad at their jobs and still get paid.
Because if their clients were actually paying out of their pocket, Amity would be out of business.
