I do not recommend this place. Let me restate my experience and review. A family member of mine overdosed while under their care. I have every right to voice my opinion since he cannot speak for himself. He should have been checked on every 30 minutes in detox, which was stated to his mother. Instead, they told him to "sleep it off" when he should have been taken to the hospital. If they truly provided the "highest level of care" as they claim, he would not have ended up in the hospital. We trusted them with his care, and he still ended up hospitalized. I hope my review is not considered "misleading, false, defamatory" like my previous one. Here is my factual foundation. Also if you want pictures to provide more context I have more than enough to post all day.

I came to Alta Center not knowing what to expect and it was everything I was hoping it would be. I learned a lot about sobriety and myself from being here. The staff has been great and it made it feel like a relaxing and learning process. I’ve got to meet other people struggling with their addictions as well and I’ve got to see how much better they have gotten since they arrived to Alta Centers. We also had some really knowledgeable facilitator’s who helped with the recovery process. If you ever need help with your addiction I recommend reaching out to Alta Centers. I would do this again but the plan is not to do this again.

I trusted this facility to take care of my son who had relapsed and was seeking help. My child was found unresponsive after I was told he was fine “ and He was resting”. Mind you in detox he should have been checked in every 30 minutes. Which in the rounds reports was not done. This facility failed my child. He overdosed while in detox their therms was “RESTING” ! My son was a 0 %chance survival once he was admitted by ambulance into the hospital. Organs failing and on a ventilator for weeks unable to breathe on his own. My son suffered brain damage. And still in the hospital a month and some weeks later. And the response from this facility was beyond hurtful because I wanted answers. Or someone to be held responsible for lack of care and communication that night to morning. We trust in these facilities to care for our loved ones. I did my research and I trusted Alta. And they failed and my son almost lost his life. He wanted the help and instead the help failed him. I would not recommend this facility. My son is unable to walk or move properly. And the future is unknown. While I have so many unanswered questions. I will share my story with who ever will listen and will go public on all social media platforms even the news to raise awareness. I work as a case manager for substance abuse. You hear these stories all the time with facilities as to why I was so cautious to the help I seeked for my son. And the outcome devastating. They care when it’s beneficial but when things like this happen no one has anything to say. I Sent him all the way from Texas because they assured me he’d be in great hands. This is the best place. Nothing to worry about. I understand mistakes and I’m understanding. But when I needed answers the tone changed from “caring “ and I mean that sarcastically, to sorry we are not responsible for anything. Even a comment from upper management that was beyond un professional. God will bring light to what needs to be. And who ever was taking care of my son that evening do Better. Or find another job. These may just be clients and a check, but my son is someone. And loved by so many. To many of these stories go unheard. And I will be his voice!

I recently had a close friend who went through this wonderful facility. He was struggling horribly with prescription medication and decided to get help. His insurance was accepted by this wonderful facility. I had an opportunity to tour the facility and it was gorgeously set in the Hollywood hills. I was able to speak with the staff, the clinicians, and his case manager Max. They were wonderful, warm, helpful and answered all my questions. Max and Ryan both went to great lengths to comfort my friend and offer him hope which convinced him to stay. He went through a grueling medical detox and spent the time he could there, coming out on the other end like a new man. He said his experience was wonderful and he is still sober today. He remains in touch with the staff, and continued to work on his sobriety. I want to thank everyone at Alta Centers for this wonderful, happy, experience.

Eternally grateful for Alta Centers. Knowledgeable, supportive, and compassionate staff who go above and beyond in all that they do. I highly recommend them if you’re struggling and need help.

This place was phenomenal from the first day I got there.i actually left one place and 5 hours later, I was picked up, intake done, and sleeping in a great and comfortable bed. As far as staff goes the chef is the best, max is great and nelson and the techs are great to. This place is definitely all about there patient's from day one

I dropped a friend to this facility and as a concerned friend, I wanted to make sure it was the right place. I toured it for them first, and the staff, chef and accommodations were amazing. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly and resourceful, and my friend later reported having a very special, enriching experience. My friend had been through many rehabs before and claims this is one of the very best in terms of comfortable beds, clean and beautiful house & surroundings, and educational and meaningful programming.

So much so, I felt the need to write this review on their behalf to protect their anonymity, however hopefully to help others desperately in need like my friend. It’s an important choice; you can’t go wrong with this one.
