I have been very picky about where to take my two pups, after trying a few vets in the area I’ve found a wonderful team at Alma. The staff is kind, attentive and on top of it, they give you any amount of time you need, I’ve never felt rushed or overlooked. You can tell the animals well being is #1. A big bonus is that the Dr Steers. Is trained in western and eastern medicine so she can get creative with their care. My dog had really bad separation anxiety we have been managing over the last few months and he is doing so much better. I am very happy with their care. I highly recommend!

When I moved to FL from CA I had to find a DVM. Usually, whatever care my pet needed, I could do at my work. Or at the very least be a part of the team if what they needed was more involved. I’ve been a Registered Veterinary Technician in CA for many years, so it was a scary prospect seeking out someone new in a land with no legal requirements for vet techs ( whole other thing…contact your representatives and ask for change if you want it)
I can’t say enough about Dr. Steers, and the whole staff. They’re wonderful with me and my pets. Compassionate, competent, and professional. The standard of care my pets receive here is top notch and far exceeds what’s required by the state. I can truly say that I trust everyone there to take care of my pets- and that is not an easy standard to meet!

This was by far the very best vet experience I have ever had. The entire staff was so kind and helpful to us. They clearly explained all of the procedures that my dog was going to have done. They gave so much love and affection to my dog that he left with his tail wagging (he never wags his tail at the vet). I absolutely recommend Alma Vet Connection!

I really found her additional background in traditional Chinese medicine a breath of fresh air. Being a certified veterinary acupuncturist, she was able to get to the root of my mini husky’s problems in a way that I’ve never seen by any other vet in our area.

Dr. Steers and her team were incredibly professional and courteous. She went out of her way to ensure I was well informed and felt comfortable with every choice we made in Summer’s treatment plan.

Until I met Dr. Steers, I thought all vets were created equal, but I've found that she is truly one-of-a-kind!

Dr. Steers and her team have cared for my dogs for the past decade. The time and care she takes to get to know each dog and their unique personalities (and my dogs have them) is inspiring. She has loved each of my dogs as her own and provided amazing care and treatment during their time of need. She also sent us an angel of comfort when we had to put one of our dogs down. I beyond amazed at how wonderful she is and I cannot imagine bringing my animals to any other vet.

The operation is high quality and thorough. I feel good about bringing my Roxy and Mochi (my senior JRT and my 3 year old JRT) here because of the discussion of options I am given, so I can choose the best care for my dogs.

Starting with the good: I came here for my cat to get her teeth cleaned. Dr. Steers vet that steps in for her when she's gone (Dr. Maxamer) did do a great job on her surgery but I found out she has cancer and she is dying. I can also say that her staff, especially Zoe, are very professional and kind. I was so happy I gave them a 5 star review and brought them cookies. It was only a day or two after that I got a call from the Dr. Steers stating she felt my text to the group about canned food was aggressive. I was quite frankly in shock being that I just bought them cookies, the text was about canned food, and I re-read and re-read the text trying to understand where she was getting this from. I showed the text to a few people and no one could understand how it was aggressive. After I explained to her that I was not at all meaning for it to sound aggressive, she went on to talk about all the extra things she did to Lucy (I never stated anything about her not doing things for lucy) including how she text me on memorial day, she was a vet, and needed a weekend off (again I didn't ask her to do this, but I appreciated it?). She also asked if I did not trust her, which I have no idea how that got brought up either. I got off that conversation feeling so hurt/angry and underappreciated. I thought I had a great Dr. and place to go for my cat. It was very unprofessional for her to speak to a client this way. I have never been to a Dr./Vet that ever spoke to me in that way, would read a text that way, and speak to a client this way. There was such little consideration about the painful emotions I am going through losing my cat as well. I have been very hurt and angry about this situation as I am now having to move on and find someone I can trust and will help my with the death of my cat.
