I have been here since 9pm, it is now 9:08am and I still haven’t seen a doctor. The front ER ran test and the tech performing my EKG is the one that checked the system and noticed I had a fever because I felt warm to the touch. Hours later I was given something for pain and fever. I had to log into the system to find out that I have the flu. Finally called to the back around 7am where all the staff is in huddles laughing and talking. Informed nurse that I have headache so for hours I have still been waiting to see a doctor and no pain meds.

It seems this is the only response you all have for anyone that had an unpleasant experience there. Try finding some solutions instead. I had my coat on my stay there because I wasn’t even offered a blanket.you would be surprised what great customer service can produce!!!

This was my 2nd surgical procedure in 4 months, both were outpatient surgeries. Everything from check-in to release were handled seamlessly. The nurses, pre-op, surgical, and post-op were all friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The doctors performing the surgeries were friendly, professional and knowledgeable, checking in both before and after the surgeries. The Advocate South Suburban outpatient surgical center was a model of efficiency and professionalism, as a patient I felt quite comfortable and safe. Should I need to have another surgical procedure, I would have no hesitation having it performed at Advocate South Suburban Hospital.

I went to the hospital Tuesday, morning. They had me waiting in the emergency room and they saw me doing really bad. I told them i was pregnant and that i was bleeding blood clots. I was crying with pain while staff saw me like that and they didn't admit me right away. I went to the bathroom and notice that i lost my baby in the toilet. The staff who registered had really bad attitude while seeing me in pain, she decided to play with her cowokers. I don't recommend coming back to this hospital if you're really sick or in pain.

The outpatient experience I had with my knee replacement surgery was good. All the staff were efficient and pleasant to be with positive and that really makes a difference with how you feel going into surgery and out of surgery. Unfortunately, I had some complications with high blood pressure right after my surgery. They gave me an EKG and the staff nurses and doctor talked to me. I went back to the outpatient room and unfortunately my blood pressure remained dangerously high so they decided to admit me overnight. They found a bed on cardiac floor. On that floor they did not know how to care for patients with knee surgery. They did not know how to use ice machine needed for my knee. Had it going with no water. My husband figured it out and told them how to start it properly.1-1/2 with no ice on knee. Later that evening, about 20 mins after I was given Norco, I experienced a reaction to the pain medication. They did not acknowledge what I was going through, severe chills and racing heart rate plus dangerous high BP. It was very frightening and it took a long time to make a decision about what to do. My husband called Dr Aribindi and talked to him twice and that got things moving so I could be brought to orthopedic floor where they knew what to do. I vomited and felt better with Norco being out of my system. Precious my nurse later in the evening was very kind and tried her best. Also Tony was very kind and compassionate All the nurses and staff in orthopedics were great. Efficient and compassionate. Some of their names are Ashley, Stephanie (I think) Sonia, Amanda and Donna. Hardworking and kind. Even the young men that came to empty the garbage were pleasant!

THE WORST HOSPITAL TO BE SEEN IN EVER, ALL THE STAFF MORRAL IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS TO BE CARING FOR SICK PEOPLE. THEY HAVE ATTITUDES AS IF SOMEONE ASKED THEM TO WORK IN THIS FIELD. MY MOM WAITING 12 HOURS TO BEEN SEEN AND SHE WAS HAVING NEUROLOGICAL ISSUES AND SEIZURE LIKE SYMPTOMS AND THEY MADE US WAIT IN THE WAITING AREA.

Two separate family incidents. One where I was in need of emergency care, arrived at 10am and was still waiting by 6pm. People were angry and arguing with the front desk for waiting for hours. I ended up leaving to another facility.

Yesterday, my 75 year old father in law just went for heart issues. Emergency room was packed. He arrived at 2p and was finally called back by a doctor by 4am.

I love Christ Advocate. It is hard to admit this ER is in need of some MAJOR support and change to improve the systems that are in place with emergency care.
