Literally go ANYWHERE else but here. I've been to four detoxes in my life. This was by far the worst. They don't care about you and simply LIE LIE LIE thinking the patients are stupid. I have a masters degree in pharmacology. I can't believe what happened in there. Using large amounts of very pure heroin IV for over 6 years. $2-300 daily. Yet they started me one TWO. yes TWO MG of subutex. Needless to say I was severely ybdernedicated and super sick when not needing to be. Smh is all I can say. This place sucks. Also the director is a liar. You never meet her yet she makes all the final decisions. The head guy for detox is "Carl Beard" a realllllll weirdoooooo. (He for some reason is always eating crushed ice out of this weird contraption) the guy is a straight up POS. I am filing a greivance with the city, it was that bad. After admission I was treated fine. Then they found out I have NJ Medicaid NOT NYC soooo they seemed to get worried about being paid and my treatment went downhill from there. Literally, go ANYWHERE ELSE. the "snacks" they give you are expired lays chips and told gold pretzels. They have expired peanut butter and jelly you can eat all day (would be nice if it was good, as while detoxing it's nice to eat whenever you want) with that said the food is nearly inedible. I asked before I got admitted "how's the food?" I got "well it's institution food" HORRIBLE think franks and beans with sauerkraut for breakfast. Inedible super thick cut fake looking nasty bologna and cheese with a roll for lunch (btw they refuse to toast anything even tho their toaster works, I.E. they literally gave us RAW yes RAW English muffins. Horrible. Then for dinner think like basically horrible pasta with nasty sauce and some nasty turkey meatballs. Or a piece of mystery meat like "meatloaf" or "pork, chicken or beef "patties"" it only got worse and worse each day. The one edible thing they had was bacon One Morning
