I don't know how she cares for the rest of her animals but I would only go here if you are looking to RESCUE rats from her. She has them in gallon fish tanks with mesh tops (standard for stores) BUT she has 10-20 of them of all sizes PACKED in there, not separated by age or even gender. The tank was disgusting with one big plastic house in there that when she lifted up to help me look at them a sea of rats came spilling out running in all directions. They were all terrified and half of them were either balding or near completely hairless due to stress. When it came time for her to help me grab them out of the tank (because the biggest rats were all biting my arm and hand, enough to draw blood, looking for food) she grabbed them up BY THE TAILS and threw them in a live cricket shipping box, which she then dumped some bedding in and taped shut. For the unfamiliar, the box looked like a standard cardboard box you'd get an amazon package in but one side had a big plastic disk with tiny holes in it, for air. I don't know if these rats were supposed to be feeders, and that's why she seemingly didn't care about them or their wellbeing AT ALL. But never once did she express this to me, never once was there a sign saying feeders, and she housed them in the same room/space as rabbits and guinea pigs. And there were HUGE rats in that cage, bigger than you would ever feed a snake. Not to mention the cage said "friendly" on the outside which if it was a feeder rat, wouldn't matter. Doesn't matter anyway; even a feeder rat shouldn't be treated like that.
A really long story short; don't buy rodents from this woman unless you plan on a long journey of rehabilitation for them, because they have been abused.

This is such a great store, especially if you're interested in reptiles! They have a very full reptile room, and are very willing to let you pet and handle them. There is a really neat selection, including boas, tegus, bearded dragons, iguanas, leopard geckos...

They have pet supplies and do dog grooming. There are some cute resident bunnies that roam the store, and they also have some rescue animals. I go there to get superworms for my beardie, and my daughter always wants to come along to visit the animals

Pat of Amazing Animals really cares about the animals, and this is something you can't say about a lot of other pet stores. Many are in it for a quick sale and the money, leaving the customer clueless how to care for their new pet. This local business is one of a kind and it is apparent to me after going there over the years that the people who work there want whats best for the animals. Let's face it - many people jump too fast into getting a pet and sometimes it doesn't work out often due to of lack of information and greed of money. Amazing Animals is different - they have reasonable prices and will take the time to answer any questions you have. This shop also actually rescues animals that would otherwise be abandoned and also is supplied by local breeders (including myself). Big box pet stores buy wholesale animals that are not properly cared for and sometimes even taken from the wild. This small shop is the place I most often always go to - especially for the humanely raised rats. There was a time when I purchased a finch that ended up passing away and I was refunded with a new one that I still have today. I highly recommend supporting this business because it is so wonderfully unique. Here is a picture of a parrot I recently got from there - I named him Julian and he has been well taken care of at at this shop for quite some time. He is super cool and now he has found his forever home thanks to Pat and the people at Amazing Animalz.

Amazing hidden gem! (At least to me) About a week ago I stopped in for the first time to see if they could trim my dogs nails. The service was quick and my dogs were really friendly and happy with the person that trimmed their nails. (I think it was the the owner)
We will definitely be going back!

The owner of this establishment, Pat, has been the groomer for my many Old English Sheepdogs for at least the last 30 years. We have followed her to several new business locations, and I think we would follow her to the ends of the earth for her grooming skills. Just look at this happy pooch.

I totally recommend Amazing Animalz for all your pet needs, Pat is such a wonderful caring Person, and Business owner. I have an 8 yr old Great Dane that just will not let me trim his nails or clean his ears, but Pat has such a way with animals and he will only let her do it. I won't bring my fur baby anywhere else.

Pat does an absolutely fantastic job. She has been grooming our dogs for years and recently I brought my older cat to her. Her grooming is absolutely fear free and so gentle. It makes a huge difference in his care. The animals are well kept and very healthy. Pat cares about every single animal she has in the store.
Overall, a fantastic place, just wish I lived closer to it so I could go their more.
