I recently had 4 TIAs (possibil mini strokes) and went to the UChealth in Fort Collins. They got me evaluated immediately. It's was a very busy night for them, and despite the volume, everything moved very quickly. After being checked out they recommended I needed to be evaluated overnight for my safety so i was admitted. I was released the next day with medication and instructions to return to the ER if I had another TIA. Keep in mind that this was a terrifying experience but the doctors and staff did an amazing job of addressing my fears and concerns. Cut to today... I am in Greeley at family's and start to present with another TIA. My mother drives me to the ER at UChealth Greeley. We get past security and I register and let them know i am having mini stroke symptoms. The person at registration tells me to wait in the waiting area and we sit there waiting for 30 minutes with no one coming to get me, check me or evaluate the seriousness of my condition. The thing about mini strokes is they can be precursors to a stroke. The symptoms can pass but that doesn't mean you are out of the woods. After 30 minutes of realizing that I was not going to get assistance and that I would probably be helped faster if I just called 911 or went to a different ER, I let the registration person know we were leaving since it was taking too long. She responded with, "Ok". No explanation for the wait, nothing about it not be safe for me to leave. The caring level was at a one. I understand they may have been busy but this experience was completely the opposite of what happened to me previously and really made feel like if I had actually been evaluated would I be in good hands? Compassion burnout is real but if you are chosing a career in this field Compassion is essential and if you are experiencing the burnout seek mental health care assistance. My interactions with you was less then 15 seconds and you could only muster an "ok" to someone presenting with stroke like symptoms and is leaving due to lack of assistance... This left a terrible impression on me since I have always valued the professionalism of my other experiences with UCHEALTH.

I gave birth here last month. Jeni and all of the nurses and doctors were so kind and helpful! Thanks to them we had a great experience bringing our baby girl into this world. The nurses did everything they could to make me feel comfortable. Thank you all! ❤️

From check in at the ED to being brought back and dealing with nurses, x-ray technician and respiratory therapist the experience was amazing! Super attentive, calming and just found ways to help settle my little girl when she wasn’t feeling great. The reason for only 3 stars is the doctor. Dr. Luttrell was very curt and made me feel like I was wasting his time. I don’t mind straight forward but I did not appreciate him. Coming from a mom who’s child has labored breathing and has never dealt with this before, you can understand my worry and being scared but he made me feel like I was making a big deal out of nothing. I don’t need my hand held and I don’t need you to be over the top but at least show some compassion or empathy.

Usually we have had excellent care at this hospital. Today not so much in the ER. Not busy no critical cases still sitting after being here two hours with a family member with a broken wrist. Snippy male nurse unhelpful. Early we have different concepts of emergent care

My fiancé and I were just in there for 6 long and excruciating days, 3 in intense labor, a crazy c section, and 3 days of healing and jaundice in our little boy. It was frustrating and nerve wrecking and outside of our son being born, just a terrible time. With that being said, every nurse and nurses aid and doctor went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and as comfortable as possible. They were very attentive to us and caring and compassionate to our unfortunate situation and we couldn’t have asked for a better group of medical workers to help us through all of this. They understood that we went from ready to have a baby, to worrying about everything, to more than ready to get home and they were very accommodating in every aspect along the way. Our baby was born healthy and happy and my fiancé is healing nicely and I will never have a bad thing to say about UC Health and we will be forever grateful to everyone involved in this whole birthing process. Thank you UC Health!!!!

I went to the ER for extreme pain late last night, I normally go to a different hospital but I couldn't make it anywhere else so this hospital was my option. I have to say I was extremely unhappy with the level of patient care I received. I had to wait because nobody was at the ER desk, the security worker had to call for them after they didn't come up front. Then once I got back they stuck me in a intake room and left me there, they ran one test and it did not explain my week long issue. The doctor seemed extremely annoyed to be there, and spoke to me in a condescending tone, I have had plenty of irritating doctors, however this one was the worst I've met in a while. I did not feel heard, cared for, or understood. Instead I sat in an intake room and suffered in pain. I have an extremely high pain tolerance and I haven't been able to handle the pain I am in. I left crying because all he bothered to do was say that I had a minor infection and it was causing all of my distress. I will never go back to this Emergency Room. I will be getting a second opinion from a different hospital I trust.
