My father is currently at Burke Rehabilitation Facility in Burke, Virginia. I can honestly say that the staff at this facility really care about their patients. Unlike the other rehab facilities that I’ve visited, Burke treats your loved ones with respect and the way you would like for them to be treated when you're not there. The Burke facility is always clean and is a pleasurable environment to visit. I would be remiss if I did not recognize Quincy. Quincy is one of the Nurse Techs at the facility. He goes above and beyond for all of his patients. I have observed him on many occasions taking care of my dad as well as his other patients and ensures that they are properly cleaned and fed. He even takes the time to laugh and joke with his patients which is very rare in this setting. He often will make sure that they are in good spirits. I would like to say thank you to Quincy and well done to Burke Rehabilitation Facility and Quincy for doing and Outstanding Job! I would highly recommend this facility!!

I recommend this place mostly due to the high quality and positive attitude of the staff, nurse, PT, really just everyone. I can not believe how different the quality of care is here form other facilities such as Dulles health and rehab. The nurses are attentive and very helpful and up beat people, the CNA are also attentive and are helpful and make sure the patients are safe and clean. There are actually activities every day ranging form movies to having the local high school kids play string quartet.

It’s hard for me to praises these hard working people enough to really show my gratitude.

I will never ever recommend anyone to this place. Patients and families beware! The staff are untrained, there’s a lot of negligence, the nurses are mean and lazy and the supervisors make excuses for them. One of the white male nurses was extremely mean to my mother and she simply requested ice water. The patient rooms are not regularly cleaned - family members have to stay on the staff and supervisors to treat your loved one properly. It’s really really bad; we are taking shifts around the clock to make sure that my mother is cared for properly. We would transfer her but there’s just a few days remaining before she’s discharged. So we’ll be here for the next few days but best believe we’re reporting individuals and this rehab facility to the Board!

They are completely under staffed, patients wait hours sometimes for the simplest of things, the place is old and in need of a make over, absolutely NO security, patients normally get warm or cold food, never hot! Just like every other medical facility, they’re ripping you off at every chance they can.
Most of the staff are good people but they are over whelmed.
If my mom could afford a better facility, we would have moved her the heck out of there immediately.
I feel bad for those patients!!!

Burke nursing/rehab facility is, by far, better quality than others we have looked at and have had family members in as patients. The communication was lacking to start, hard to find the correct person to speak with, however, after the first family planning meeting we were given a list with names and phone numbers, which would have been helpful from the start. Other than that we found the staff pleasant and helpful especially Elizabeth, Christine, Valentina, Gloria (the custodial worker), Mu Lei (sp?), Momo, and several others whose names I will find out and write the administration to give them credit. No one wants to have to be in a facility but if it is necessary Burke is best.

Speaking from experience of working there, hello everybody that’s reading this and looking to get your parents or loved ones in this facility I would recommend you reconsider doing that. I’ve seen how they treat rhe patients don’t get me wrong there are some good staff, but when it comes to the administration and HR it’s very unprofessional. I’ve heard once when I was in a meeting that “there goal was to get more patients budget isn’t recaching out expectation” in a way that only the money mattered. The activity department is super unprofessional and has the same activities every single week. When they have the activity’s they leave the patients in the dining room and wait until it’s over to return back. The therapy over at Burke is a 10/10 amazing staff other than that I would look some place else. Also to add the activity department staff especially “liesell” makes fun of patients, also has in attitude towards them. I hope I changed your mind about this place because our loved ones deserve the best place, if you were to ask me would I put my family in here.Without a hesitation I would say “NO”. Nurses neglect the patients. I saw one get aggressive with a patient that was almost catatonic. My father was not bathed for a week and they kept him in the same bloody clothes for days after his accident. We finally had to call an ambulance to get him and take him back to the ER after he was declining so rapidly. When the EMT driver got there and checked his blood pressure, it was thru the roof. The Burke Rehab nurses never bothered to check his vitals for days. If you love your family member, do NOT send them to this place.

Outstanding place to be because of its cleanliness and smiling faces on almost every staff I get in contact with at this facility. I will definitely recommend this facility for both short term and long term care for rehab and and nursing needs. The pictures below shows what I’m talking about.
