CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER!!!! The compassionate, professional staff lifted me out of the gutter and gave me an entirely new life. I was a hopeless alcoholic who had been to treatment many times. ACW treated not only my alcoholism but my trauma. Charlene, the lead counselor, is highly professional. The entire staff knows what it is talking about and got this stubborn alcoholic to accept medical, therapeutic, nutritional, physical, and spiritual solutions. The depth and breadth of what ACW offers is incomparable, even with respect very expensive treatment centers. Thank you ACW. I can never repay my debt to your organization.

I'm grateful for ACW because it helped me to stay sober by keeping my busy. However, the education is outdated...there is little if any discussion of trauma and most of the counselors are not trauma-informed or aware of the connection to trauma and addiction. Most of the education is "at" the clients versus helping us to process our issues and trauma that brought us there in the first place. There were also no AA meetings and only 1 NA meeting per week.
Some of the counselors truly care and are kind and compassionate (Cathy, Barb, Rose...). The head counselor, strangely, is the most unprofessional. Many reports were made while I was there but nothing changed. When someone asked questions or challenged her, she quickly resorted to threatening to kick them out (knowing that some would face jail time if they left). When one of my friends graduated she told her "I can't wait until you're gone!"
This place would be great if the adopted a trauma-informed approach with kindness and compassion, started doing AA, ACA or NA meetings daily and addressed unprofessional behaviors with staff.

I was a client there did the six months rehab an my experience there was amazing the Director BEUTIFUL person the Counselor amazing the house sitter amazing the cook amazing great meals the Counselor Ms Suzanna I was lost broken my counselor built me up gave me the message of recovery tought me how to be a woman how to accept my wreckage through God Dania Martinez

Have yet to even visit my girl and Lydia the counselors aka part time supervisor (supposedly) was unprofessional in giving information and was very aggressive in ignoring questions that are important to anyone who has loved ones in care , I find it alarming in how she approached the overall sit, no help was given and nothing was resolved awaiting a phone call back ....will update upon return call

IF I COULD GIVE A ZERO I WOULD! The STAFF HERE IS SOOO RUDE AN UTTERLY UNPROFESSIONAL TO THE FULLEST and I DO MEAN TO THE FULLEST! I CAN START OFF BY CALLING OUT THE DIRECTOR THERE and THE REST OF THE STAFF I DONT EVEN KNOW WHO I SHOUKD START OFF WITH FIRST WoW! I MEAN I CANNOT UNDERSTAND HOW THIS PLACE IS STILL IN BUSINESS AND NOT SHUT DOWN WITH EMPLOYEES LIKE THIS….WELL IT HAS TO BE BECAUSE OF MS.LORETTE HAS TO BE THE ONLYYYY REASON! But OTHER THAN THE ONLY HUMAN BEINGS THERE THAT ARE MS.LORETTE,MS.BARBARA, MS.LYDIA AND MS.MARIA (they are the ONLY GOOD AND PROFESSIONAL LADIES THERE) OTHER THAN THAT I WOULD SAY THIS IS THE WORST PLACE EVER!!!

I DON’T LIKE THE GATE AROUND THE FACILITY. ALTHOUGH I KNOW ITS A SECURITY MEASURES. I NEVER THOUGHT THATS A GOOD FIT FOR SUBSTANCE ABUSE USERS PSYCHOLOGICALLY.
