We adopted a female Great Pyrenees from the shelter, and the experience could not have been any better! The volunteers were friendly and very helpful, answering all of our questions regarding what they knew of our new dog's past, and future care needs. They spayed her, heartworm tested her, and gave her a heartworm preventative, they updated her vaccinations (including rabies), and licensed and chipped her. Plus, they sent us home with a goodie bag with all of her paperwork, a toy, treats, and kibble! She's all set to start her new life with us - and we are grateful to the terrific volunteers who made that possible! Thank you!

I found a kitty outside my apartment and I brought him here because he was meowing for help at all the doors and looked rough. The staff was very nice I hope I did the right thing and he finds a home. Please spay and neuter your pets and get them microchiped I don't know what I'd do if my cat got lost asking for help and got put down over it so give them the best chance to get home. Thanks for everything you guys do I know it can't be easy working with animals that need help and not always having the ability to get them somewhere safe.

I've been in a lot of animal shelters in search for new dog. Hands down. This is the most beautiful, cleanest, precious smelling animal shelter I have visited. It was a pleasure to adopt my new for friends from them.

These people are shameful extorting $600 dollars from me and threatening to sell my dog to someone else for $175 but they won't let me or anybody that knows me to adopt my 12 year old dog after 10 days.I was told cash only and a 12 year old dog most likely be adopted so they will have to put him down.I asked if I could see him one last time or at least yell "good boy" down the hall and they flat out told me if i had six hundred cash i could do what i wanted if not "you'll never see him again".makes no sense that they dont try to reunify dogs and owners at the same price as they would adopt him out, they are treating my dog as a revenue source and not as a member of my family, and to be this spiteful and cruel is down right sedistic someone should fire whoever is in charge and realize that kennel space would be better served with a dog that Needs it not a dog that needs to be with his family.

Update.
I managed to get together $600 right before the deadline to get my dog back, the young lady (I didnt catch her name) that brought my dog to me from the back was very delightful and friendly and seemed like she genuinely cared and loki seemed to like her quite a bit as well.Aside from that when I got him home I noticed he was lethargic and coughing really bad.I called the shelter to ask what was going on and was hung up on and my subsequent calls were fowarded to voicemail mail. After several attempts I called from a different number and it was answered on the first ring by Mary, the dispatcher, she was cordial and as helpful as she could be.I requested to talk to a supervisor that refused to talk to me and said talk to the county. The supervisor above her refused my call as well. After a little persistence Mary relayed some information that my dog was not vaccinated for kennel cough upon being brought there like every cat and dog that get there automatically, with no explanation except I ask too many questions.I took loki to the vet and he was diagnosed with kennel cough and k9 distemper that he got will in the shelter. He fought like a champ but died 5 days after bringing him home. These people murdered my dog and can't be bothered to take a phone call.Im filing a lawsuit so please share your similar experiences and hold these people accoutable.

Pretty nice facility. Animals seem comfortable. Adopted a border collie from here. A bit annoyed they automatically charged 2 license fees, 1 for my dog I already had.

We had to evacuate our house because of a forest fire. EDCAC took excellent care of our "fur babies" while we were gone.
