I used to go see dr. Z at leave no paws behind! If you’re looking a true pet lover Dr. Z and his staff are amazing! Krystal is an angel put on earth! She’s compassionate, loving and caring! They rest if the vet tech amazing! They are god sent! When he left we felt lost! And so we stocked him and didn’t give up until he opened his own practice. Venting has become a very commercial market. Dr. Z is the ultimate dog guru! Cat guru ! And importantly he understands English bulldogs and French bulldogs his the man! Thank you guys! My boys love coming here! I have brought countless pets get from the rescue and world he has saved more than a few lives for us! Thank you Sunshine Veterinary! We love you!

You can tell DrZ really cares about his patients and his community. He always has a big smile on his face and really listens to your concerns.

I brought my cat in for an evaluation because he's been having vomitting and diarrhea. DrZ gave me really good advice and the best course of treatment.

I brought my nervous dog just for moral support and DrZ was also super patient and caring for my dog too!

10/10 would highly recommend!

Dr. Z is really nice and very knowledgeable about dogs and cats. My dog had a tumor and a rock in her stomach and he was able to perform a successful surgery. He explained everything very thoroughly before the procedure and guided us through the post-surgery care. We also recently got a kitten and he helped us do a thorough check-up and answered all the questions we had! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a fantastic vet!

Dr. Z and his staff were amazing. I was taking my dog for a walk and I saw that there was a new vet down the street from my favorite restaurant. I decided to walk in because my dog gets itchy and needs an allergy injection every few months or so. I didn't expect for him to be seen that same day. They were so kind and allowed us to do a walk in. We were in and out in no more than 20 minutes tops. Now my dog is not itchy and I am happy to have found a new vet so close to home. We will be back in April for his vaccines!

Dr.Z and his staff are kind, amazing, and super welcoming. I brought my dog in yesterday, she has severe allergies and we had noticed that her eyes was very irritated, he walked me through why her eye was irritated and he recommended putting eye drops and gave us some medicine. My dog was given a shot and I can already tell she’s stopped itching. This is the first vet that has had the interest to help my dog feel better, I really recommend this clinic!

Dr. Z and his staff helped our dog while we were out of town. They were amazing and treated him like family. I am so grateful they opened, and so close to my parents. They did not try to rip us off and charge a bunch of extra fees. I cannot thank them enough.

It saddens me to write this review. Seriously.

First, to clear up a bit of confusion. Dr. Zonram Liao is sometimes referred to as Dr. Z and sometimes Dr. Liao. He is the only vet at the practice.

Now, to the issue at hand: I have moved an inordinate number of times, and finding a new vet (and hairstylist and nail technician and doctors) is a giant pain… I usually use other reviews to help me choose.

Originally came to Sunshine after seeing all the great reviews. The doctor is very nice, I thought the prices were reasonable, and everybody seemed very professional. My dog was in need of an allergy shot – which he needs approximately every six weeks. We had seen a vet in AZ six weeks prior, but had to make a new client appointment, so the vet could look at the dog and give him the next shot. While Hubby and I were there, we asked if additional shots would need appointments, or if we could just come in and see a tech. We were told that we could just see a tech, but that we should call first to let them know that we’re coming. It has been six weeks, the dog was itchy, so I called…

Every other practice I have ever gone to, which includes multiple practices in AZ, TX, and Northern CA, we have NEVER been charged a fee for the tech appointment. Only for the shot. (Which is weight-based, and over $80 by itself.) However, Sunshine charges a $35 tech fee. It literally took me more time to pay than the appointment took. They take the dog back, give him the shot, and bring him back out that’s it. 30 seconds. For $35.

Per the receptionist’s recommendation, I called in after office hours to speak to the vet directly, to see if I could just get the shot from them and give it to the dog myself and whether I was charged properly. They won’t sell me the medication. As far as the charge, it was correct. He started to give me the whole “it’s for the tech’s” time song and dance. So I guess the $80 shots actually cost over $115. Every six weeks.

Now I have to find yet another vet.
