Sugar is a very special case. Sugar has diabetes and recently became blind because of it while on vacation sugar injured her eye pretty badly, and I was referred to the ophthalmology department at blue Pearl Veterinary specialist in emergency in Daly city.
I was of course, very skeptical at first because I didn’t know much about The hospital
Upon arriving with my baby, Marina at the front desk was so welcoming and made sure that I felt comfortable.
After that, I was introduced to the ophthalmology team, which was Dr. de Bustamonte And her team. Suzie and Izzy were the technicians and they were so kind they treated sugar as if She was their own dog.

The staff here were so friendly. I honestly wish they were my usuals if I went to the vet so I could see them for my pet often. I felt that my pet was very taken care of.
My cat had wheezing and coughing so I was trying to find an ER pet hospital. I didn’t really know where to go or what to expect at one since it’s my first time.
The lady at the front desk was very sweet when checking my pet in. They were able to tell me what may be going on with my cat and gave me my options. The vet tech was very helpful by giving me resources on where to find a regular vet so I don’t have to spend so much there, specialists to see if I need one, and even gave me a list of other ER pet hospitals.
I was satisfied with my visit.

Overall great experience everyone was very caring, professional and competent. Wait time was short and consistent with what I was told on the phone before I left the house. Nurse did a great job calming my dog and telling me clearly what was going to happen. Our vet was also a good communicator and diagnosed and resolved the issue within the amount of time I was told. Financial estimate was accurate. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.

I was referred by another pet hospital to this place, I called in advance to see if they accept walk-ins because I was in high concern for my dog. They gladly do take walk-ins and that’s when I rushed over there. At the check-in counter, the lady (Natasha) that helped me was very patient, understanding and well trained. The waiting period was not too bad and worth it since I needed to know what is going on with my dog. When I got called in by Dr. Debbie, she gave me a whole run down of what it might be on my dog’s face and said they will examine it and go from there. She gave me some good insight and said it doesn’t look to serious and good thing I brought my dog in quickly. After the examination, Dr. Chew came out to speak with me and said she still does not know what it is 100% but could pull out one of my dog’s cells to test it in the lab. They later discovered it was abscess and explained to me what they can do. The options were either just some medication to take home and see if that helps, but a rupture can occur and that’s for the low cost. Or for the high cost would be cut the area open for drainage, include a cone, medication and that would be a safer route. Since everyone at my house loves my dog I decided to go with the high cost. Money was not the problem I just didn’t want to see my dog suffer and wanted her to be pain free. Dr. Chew and Dr. Debbie explained to me what is going to be done in the operation and the duration of it. While waiting for my dog I went out to grab lunch because I was hungry and just finished my overnight shift. When the procedure was done, my dog came out a bit drowsy but still looked like a beast. From the beginning to end all I can say is the staffs at this facility knows what they are doing and the service was through the roof. I highly recommend this place to anyone that needs any service for their pets.

Visited the internal medicine department last week for a consultation. Was assured by the receptionist that prices across the Bay Area are all "comparable" for specialty care before making an appointment.

The Dr was abrasive and gave me estimates for extensive and unnecessary testing. She bad mouthed parts of the prior treatments given by other DVMs.

Had a consultation with a second internal medicine specialist in the Bay Area a week later and was quoted prices that were 50-60% less.

This was my first and last time at Blue Pearl. I do not recommend them at all. I wasted my time, my money, and more importantly, my sick cat was put under unnecessary stress to attend this appointment.

Took my dog as she had an accident which tore one of her nails almost off and needed immediate attention. The staff were outstanding! The vet removed the nail and wrapped her paw, prescribed meds, informed me of the procedure she did, how to care for my dog during recovery, the purpose of the meds and finally a reasonable price! I recommend Blue Pearl!

This emergency room was really wonderful. My dog was relax and happy. She loved the doctor and everyone who helped her. They were very attentive and patient. They really know what they’re doing and they even called to check on my dog. This is a great place to bring your dog or cat any animal my dog had a great experience with them and so did we thank you so much

The staff are wonderful, and took the time to make my cat and I feel comfortable. The entire staff made a point to learn my cat's name, including a welcome note on the whiteboard of the exam room for our consultation. Dr. Sergeeff had wonderful bedside manner, making a point to get to know our cat before starting the consultation. She then provided an amazing 1hr masterclass in feline internal medicine which helped to both inform me of our cat's condition and feel comfortable with making a decision for next steps. When that next step included a biopsy, scheduling and preparation was easy, and I felt more than comfortable leaving our cat in their care for the day to conduct the procedure.
