Dr. Mark is truly exceptional – the kind of veterinarian every pet owner dreams of finding. Over the past year, he's cared for our multiple cats and dog with incredible skill and compassion. Recently, he went above and beyond to save our cat Poppy, who was critically ill. He kept her under his care for six days, working overtime and through the weekend to nurse her back to health, while keeping us thoroughly informed every step of the way.
His lifetime dedication to veterinary medicine shows in every interaction – from routine checkups to emergency situations. He takes the time to explain everything clearly and treats both animals and their humans with genuine care and respect. His background as a former Hollywood studio vet adds to his wealth of experience, but it's his heart for animals that truly sets him apart.
The entire staff is wonderful, and their pricing is more than fair for the exceptional level of care provided. We couldn't recommend Dr. Mark more highly to any pet owner in the area. He's simply the best vet we've ever had.

A few years back this wonderful vet came in on an emergency on new years day. My beloved best friend had fractured her paw by going over a cliff at the beach. The paw not only broke but became infected with gangrene ... Any other vet would have either taken the limb or put her down. Martello has a great genuine LOVE for animals that is beyond words.
Now, years later my dog hikes and runs the beach
I could never thank this vet enough
He's the BEST vet ever!!!!

Dr Mark and his staff are professional and caring. They are animal lovers, and understand that Your fur-baby is Family.
We lost our LD last year to cancer, and Dr Mark and Rachel were so supportive and loving. We greatly appreciate them for this.
They currently care for our 14yr old corgi, Ruby (LDs mom), and Baby, our 14 mo old Rhodesian Ridgeback, who are both doing excellent!
We trust Dr Mark and his staff to give quality care and honest service.

My partner and I were on a road trip up the west coast when our dogs health started to take a turn. For a week we tried to get her into a vet but none were willing to take the time to see her because we weren't clients. Dr. Mark and his team were so helpful and compassionate in our situation and squeezed us in right away. He was truly knowledgable and gave very professional care. Wish we had a vet like this close to home.

I don't live in Crescent City, but was traveling with my family and we had to bring our cat with us because she had recently begun having some issues eating. We took her to our local vet the day before we left and they had told us she needed a $3500 surgery, which we were planning to do as soon as we returned home.

During our trip, Kitty seemed much more in pain and uncomfortable so we ended up bringing her to Dr. Mark. Turns out her problems were with her teeth and not her stomach and no wonder she'd been not eating because she was in pain! He gave us medicine to help her be comfortable, and explained all of our options carefully and compassionately. You could tell that our kitty's best interest was really his first concern.

Ultimately, we had to make the difficult decision to let her go. The damage to her mouth was extensive and the treatments may have caused her even more pain and there was no promise they'd be successful. Dr. Mark handled the entire situation for us, and even created a little kitty footprint set for us to remember her by.

She's resting peacefully under my mother's cherry tree now, but we will always be grateful to Dr. Mark and his team for helping make this very hard time for out family easier with their professionalism and care.

Having been so disappointed with the wrong diagnosis and what seems in hindsight like extortive pricing from our local vet, and people in the area so we visit a few times a year, I may just wait and have my kids' kittens treated there too!

(I included her photo so she can be forever memorialized on the internet! ?)
