I picked up three bales of straw today in Farmington. when I got home, I found one with moldy on the bottom. so I called in to Miller Farmington and told the lady that one of the bales is all moldy on the bottom. she said, "That's just the way they come off the trailer from the vendor." I told her I didn't want a moldy one, and finally, she agreed to swap it out if I brought it back in.
NO, I won't bring it back and I won't be shopping at Miller Feed again. A better way would have been to offer me a free bale on my next visit. You lost a customer over a $5 bale of straw! I will, however, be shopping at Owl Creek since it's closer to my house!
Everything is way too expensive, and I'm not paying for inferior products or services.

Customer service 101:
1. when customer calls them with a problem, don't make excuses. Listen and sympathize.
2. Ask the customer what You can do to make it right.
3. Give them a reason to come back.

KEEPING IT LOCAL FROM FAR AWAY... I am an American living in England at the moment and my mom and pops are in Farmington. It is very hard for me, to find a place over the internet, where I can buy American goods with my American bank card for my parents because most times, they have a system that will not allow my English address to be put in. I can't put in an American zip code and this causes me endless headaches. I LOVE THE FACT that Shelby did not hesitate in taking my, American card payment, over the phone from England!!! It really took a weight off my mind as to where I can shop back home from overseas, support our small businesses and have them be close enough for my mother to pick up whatever it is she needs and KNOW that both her and I are not getting ripped off. You can't be assured of that over the internet. Even though, I am so far away from home, the customer service I received was AWESOME!! Shelby, took the time to tell me what products they had for my mom as I needed to get, salt licks and a few more bags of supplies for her as well, in the future. My mom picked up the feed and the young man (whose name she forgot to get) loaded it up in her truck for her as well. I called back and spoke to David and found out that he used to deliver for my adopted Gran (now departed) as well for a long time. He even remembered, what kind of cookies and brownies she used to give him as a "thank you", right down to her favorite coconut ingredient!! How is that for family service It does not get any better than that for me!! The prices are fabulous and they mix their own feed so there will be no surprises of mold or yuck that you may find when dealing with big operations. MILLER'S OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE, KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT I NEEDED & STOCKING IT FOR A FAIR PRICE IS WHY, I WILL BE KEEPING MY MONEY GOING BACK TO THEM & SUPPORTING OUR SMALL BUSINESSES BACK HOME!!

Millers is amazing. David Miller knows his stuff and Shelby provides great customer service. When you go to millers you're not just another customer you're a person. Shelby knows me and others by name. She knows what I need before I do. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else.

Saw a dog mudmat advertised on FB. Went in, found it immediately got a hand from the CSR and was out the door in 5 minutes. Nice friendly and efficient service and the product I wanted without fuss. Will be back for future items.

The nicest people in Farmington, and they don't screw you on their price's or short you on the mulch. You get what you pay for and then some. Family Center shorts you on there mulch so you have to come back to get more, plus they are extremely rude. Im a landscape designer and do everything to get my client the best plants, and good mulch. Millers Feed is about the people/customers, Family Center is just about the money. I know longer recommend Family Center to any of my clients, instead I tell them that miller's feed is best place to go for friendliest people and quality product.
