This small business is having trouble keeping afloat and I caution customers about trusting them with personal credit card information they keep on file. They find ways of charging extra for pet services and when the charge is disputed, they bully customers into paying them using lies supporting their claims. They steal from their customers to make ends meet for their business (read other reviews) and they are not to be trusted. They are unprofessional and discourteous. A ‘small business’ such as this one relies on the support of good local customers like myself. I withdraw my support of this business, and so should you!

I was a groomer here since maybe May of this year. I put in my two weeks on 7/2/24(in Illinois it is only a curtesy to do so) I said I wasn’t able to finish out my two weeks as I am also server/bartender and injured myself at that job. I told Ramie and Dave all of this(the owners) I also have proof of my back injury from that night. They are refusing to let my grab MY equipment and last check. They have blocked me from all communication. All of my thousands of dollars of my equipment is still sitting in their shop. DO NOT GROOM HERE!!! Highly unprofessional. I’m at their mercy of when I can grab my equipment to continue to make a living. Horrible, horrible people run this business. Who holds equipment hostage that belongs to the groomer? So unprofessional, it makes me physically ill. Again, DO NOT GROOM HERE.

It’s now been two months. I have not received my last and final paycheck that IS LEGALLY MINE. My experience here was a joke. Broke me down on my career. No empathy. I busted my ass for them. oh and they lied to family when they asked the receptionist for my final check. They said they delivered it through priority usps mail. Meaning I’ll need to sign for it. We asked for a tracking number right? Nope. Not a single word. Lies on top of lies. They have got over a weeks worth grooming pay. A is now in motion. It didn’t have to be like this RAMIE(owner) and DAVE(other owner and her husband)
I mean, this is beyond any kind of work experience I’ve had dealing with management/owner. PAY YOUR EMPLOYEES AND BE BETTER PEOPLE

UPDATE: 10/8/24 there’s no doubt I am extremely humiliated. I’m now in therapy because of these people. I started self harming again to hopefully that will distract from the stress that has been uncovered by such complete and utter nonsense i. My heart breaks so bad. embarrassed. How can these multi and home owners possibly do mm this to a 39 year, I’m now pregnant. They refuse to pay me. Please, please I’m desperate and then will be a reward with paid.

This is a weird place. I thought it must be new on Central but I am seeing other reviews from years ago, so I don't know. Anyway, kind of stumbled upon it while out with our dog and found a bag of treats she would like. We bought the treats and she did like them so we went back to buy more. Before, a kid had been working the register. Now, it was a somewhat disoriented older man who was very nice but said they were out of those treats and would have a delivery in a few days. So, we went back on the day he had said they would be in. Well, they weren't. This time, it was a somewhat disoriented older woman who asked us who told us there would be a delivery. We didn't know his name! Then she said there was no delivery and "probably won't be next week, either." But she said we could pay in advance and they would call when they came in! Uh, no thanks. I can find them elsewhere with less trouble. I don't really know how a place like this stays in business but there are plenty of better pet shops around here!

Very expensive for a below average haircut. The last couple times I brought my dog here, the trimming around the body has been messy. The fur below his stomach was cut straight across, as opposed to around his body. The fur on his front legs looked untouched and still long. The fur on his back was cut too short where it would stand up. This is to name a few of the problem areas. On their website, they advertise having groomers trained in breed specific cuts, but their work shows otherwise.

I dropped in yesterday and was so impressed with the selection and service! I have a cat with oral cancer and want to treat him to some high-quality pates, and the person working was very knowledgeable and helpful. They carry a lot of brands that I haven't seen in other chain pet shops and they seem high quality! My cat liked them. I'll probably bring my dog sometime too. I was pleased with everything here; a little pricey, but not bad for a specialty pet supply store! I saw some low reviews of their pet care services, and I can't speak to that. I just know that I got what I needed and was really happy!

First of all this store is one of the best pet stores I’ve ever found and I make it a point to go to the local spots whenever we travel (which is a lot) and they are killing it. Could not find one toy/treat/good I wouldn’t let me dog have and/or eat and I am super picky. Also I came looking for a very specific toy and the gentleman working there helped me dig through the toy bins and he found it! Then I had to come back the next day and bring my puppy because I had seen what I thought would be the perfect snow suit. Different gentleman working and he was a gem too!! Helped us try the snowsuit on and he helped us find and fit boots for our baby girl. We come up to Chicago at least once a year and we will definitely be back! This store is fabulous; thank you so much for providing such great service to the community and visitors!

I really loved this place. They share a space with a candle/soap business and its all so well put together. I was pleasantly surprised by the cat section. There were so many brands and types of foods and treats. The employee, who said she was new, was so helpful and patient with out questions. Overall I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for high quality foods for their pet.

Do you research before ever using this facility. You will find many negative reviews, terrible bullying behavior by the owners, threats of a restraining order for trying to get them to respond to your many requests for a call back to settle matters they caused.
