Michelle and her team are wonderful. My dog Bowman has stayed with her many times and they always treat him so well, we don’t have to worry about the care he’s receiving while we are gone. They go above and beyond to make sure he needs are taken care of. Highly recommend.

We've taken our dog to many places, but he obviously prefers this place over them all. He gets so much love from the staff here, he's almost reluctant to leave them when we pick him up. Other places....you could just tell, he was like a number to them, one more animal. At Pleasant Valley they LOVE him, and our family loves them for it.

My family has used Pleasant Valley for years. My dogs get so excited when I pull in to drop them off which is a good sign - I’ve never had a dog excited to go to the kennel before. The staff are dog lovers for sure! One of my dogs had surgery on his spine and still needed meds and a little help walking when he stayed at Pleasant Valley - they really did great with him and they didn’t charge any extra. My dogs smell so good when I pick them up and I don’t even have to bring any dog food with - they have the kind we use and don’t charge any extra for the food. I’ve read some of the reviews and I have never had any issues with getting toys/blankets back. I have recommended them to friends and would recommend anyone with dogs or cats to use Pleasant Valley.

I have to share this above and beyond story! I have used their services many times in the past with my previous dog Pecan, and should have done this sooner, but this needs to be shared. I was running late from work and they were flexible enough to still accept my dog after regular hours. When I got to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, day 2, and realized my dogs meds were still in my backpack and that I had forgotten to leave them for her. I somehow had one bar on my cell phone when none of my other partners did. Called my vet ordered a refill and Pleasant Valley went to my vet, picked up the meds for me. My newest dog Poot is super nervous in new places and new people, and somehow they were able to create a connection with her that allowed them to get her harness
on, and give her a bath. Kudos to Pleasant Valley and their wonderful staff. If there were six stars they'd get them. ✌️🌌❤️😸😎💥

Pleasant valley is the most affordable kennel I have found in St. Louis. They seem to always know the special needs of my dog, and have affection for him when I see them interact with him during pickup and drop off.

He had some skin issues when they bathed him, so I requested them to leave him dirty and didn't have problems again.

Seems like a good place all around.

They always take good care of our cat, and at this point they know her on sight, so I think that speaks volumes of the kind of care and treatment they provide. Everyone there is kind and helpful, and they have never mistreated our kitty. Highly recommend.

I have had brief experiences with some of the bigger, pricier places over the years. If you want people who love what they’re doing, know what they’re doing, and treat you and your animals with respect and compassion, this is the place.
