Just had our first appointment (5.5 month old female chihuahua) here with Dr. Kim. I found the entire staff to be kind, knowledgeable and caring. I felt the exam was thorough. I asked many question of Dr. Kim and the vet tech and received satisfactory answers and advice that was meant specifically for our dog and her needs. We have a follow-up scheduled for next month, just for a booster vax shot. I will be returning when recommended for her spaying and in the future for all her vet needs.

I’ve brought my cat Piki to see Dr. Popp twice now in the past month, once for a normal yearly check up (and to establish care here since we are new to the neighborhood), and then again today because she had conjunctivitis. Dr. Popp and the veterinary technicians were all very respectful and gentle with Piki. The technician even gave her a little snuggle when she met her, which I appreciated as I think it made Piki more comfortable with the place (she likes people). The process was smooth and to the point. Dr. Popp recommended a course of action to treat my cat’s eye, and also provided me with the estimate before starting care. Nobody pressured me to do more than I could handle, although fortunately the estimate was affordable for me anyways. All of Dr. Popp’s suggestions seemed reasonable and necessary, and I don’t get the sense at all that she would suggest anything more than what she feels is needed for proper care. Overall, both visits were helpful and thorough and I left feeling that Piki had received quality care. Veterinary care is never cheap, but the costs of exams and testing seemed reasonable to me for this area.

Edit:
I want to add that today we had to make a last minute appointment and met with Dr. Dupre, and they were absolutely fantastic. They are patient and reasonable and gave us well-rounded, thoughtful, great advice for our situation. Thank you so much Dr. Dupre! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing to talk through questions about their pet.

My cat's tail abscess was lanced and drained in front of me, without warning and without any pain relief measures for my cat who literally screamed in pain the entire time.

A vet tech also thought it would be funny to call my cat a "nazi" because he was trying to scratch her. I just don't think that's appropriate by any means.

I don't trust these people with my pet anymore. They were callous and disrespectful, and most importantly, they caused a lot of unnecessary pain to my cat, which infuriates me.

The vet techs and the doc were so nice and gave me a lot of good info. They were so sweet to my cat Cleo and they followed up that next day to make sure she was doing okay after getting her annual vaccines. Th exam room was spotless and the front desk staff were so lovely!

If you don't have an extra $1 or $2K for the fees, don't be surprised if you get attitude from some techs/desk attendants. The prices ARE shocking and I believe making judgment calls on what I can (especially if a test is not necessary at that moment) should not be met with attitude. I apologize if I was never sweet enough to the staff with my elderly diabetic cat. I was never rude. Also, I had to put my cat down and I had to ask more than a week later for the crematorium details. Never heard from then until I asked. Two take aways: cover the peep hole on the door when you wait in the exam room. Do not show your love or dedication to your pet. The tech tried to get me for $500 in xrays because the cat hesitated jumping on the counter that he had never seen before and which had a large wire a bit blocking the counter and his view. Unfortunately it was only me and my cat in the room. Don't appreciate the spying.
Second, if you want records for a second opinion, be prepared. Their "caring" seemed to stop once I did.

I’ve been going to BAH for years with my cat, and never had any issues. Dr. Popp joined the team and took over my cats care and always did a wonderful job. Recently, I went in for an annual check up, and my cat had a UTI, with a new concern for a heart murmur. We completed all the testing, and Dr. Popp did a great job explaining everything to me so I could understand.

However, I took my cat back for a follow up urinalysis to make sure the infection was cleared and was never once informed of the cost of the follow-up. I had spent close to $1,200 already, and was surprised by another $120ish bill. The office manager apologized for lack of transparency, and I didn’t pay on the spot. Was contacted a few weeks later to pay the bill, discussed my issue again, and then she began to upsell more treatments my cat may need because of frequent UTIs. Personally, I have loved this vets office, but the upsell of additional services when I was already overwhelmed by huge bills really left a bad taste in my mouth.

The vet tech did not seem to have experience touching a cat with tooth pain. She also did not seem to like cats. I wonder why she works here? Subsequently my cat bit her very hard. Then they tried to “impound” my cat because of the bite. Even the vet admitted the tech was somewhat new, and it clearly showed she was not trained well. I used to love this place, but I have moved on to a vet that is locally owned with better vet techs, not corporate owned like this place.
