When I walked into Heritage, I was sick, addicted and at the end of my rope.
The staff welcomed me without judgment. They put their arms around me and told me it's going to be okay.
I had been to other treatment centers to help me get sober.
Heritage's program was different, they helped me understand why I was using substances to escape life.
I built a trust with my counselor and he made me feel safe. I am sober and at peace for over 1 year now. I couldn't have done this without the expertise and professionalism that I received from Heritage and for that I am truly grateful. Thank you, you gave me back my life.
Not only did Heritage teach me how to use the tools to live a sober life, their aftercare meetings give me the opportunity to share and hear how others are handling every day struggles we all go through to remain sober.
If you need a place to get help I highly recommend Heritage.

I went and left after half my stay. Lodging was disgusting. Staff generally speaking were rude, ego driven and only 3 staff knew anything. I didn't even get a councillor when realizing the one I had was a sexist who inspired o confidence. This is just a way to make money. In 18 days I saw things that my next, really good treatment center was sickened by. I would like to sue them honestly. Go to Newgate 180. They are thieves. Leaders didn't show up and no schedule even. I'm now 1.5 yrs sober. No thanks toNewgate 180 in Marrickville.

Some staff were good, others had been there a long time and don’t seem to care anymore. In a two week period, we went shopping twice and Tim Horton another time. What a waste of money. I certainly didn’t plan to go shopping during my treatment period, pretty sure it was for the staffs benefit.
Also, their outreach program is very selective. The hosts are partial to having favourites in the group and I’m not sure why but the host stopped sending me the links to the meetings and I couldn’t get into the meetings even though I had emailed the host to ask to be let into the group.
Also,it’s a free for all, they condone clients shacking up in each others rooms.
Not worth the money, the staff are more messed up than the clients.

Visiting Heritage has been the best decision of my life. The staff is uniquely competent, the CBT content ( SMART Recovery ) is science based and proven to be an efficient method to beat addictions and stay sober.

The food served is exceptional and the overall experience helps to get anyone's life on the right track.

One thing to be said: you have to be ready and WANT Sobriety. The facility is uniquely Liberal and patients are expected to take accountability for their recovery! just has they will have to post-treatment.

Furthermore, after you leave the facility to get back to your environment, you are introduced to the AfterCare program, providing Access to a large Alumni community and several Zoom meetings every week.

I never thought I would ever miss "being in rehab" ... But I keep some of the best memories of my life that happened at Heritage.

This place will forever feel like home.

Thanks to Catherine and her team for saving my life

Amazing treatment centre. If you’re willing to change. This place provides a comfortable safe dtox with on site nurses and care staff.
Provides a full gym. Your own showers and bedrooms, TVs.
On site psychologists, Counselors and therapists.
Full course meals are cooked on site by a chef.
Outings and social times like group horseback riding, movies, bowling, beach visits and nature walks are enjoyed.
And they provide aftercare for all patients and an amazing “loved ones” care to educate the people in your life about addiction.
I personally experienced numerous facilities. And I’ve heard about other’s experiences elsewhere. Heritage Home Foundation is a homey feeling like no other. If you’re looking for an up to date and new experience. This is the place for you.

Thank you

My daughter was here for just under 4 weeks. She was there for Xanax addiction and they kept her on Xanax for her entire time that she was there.. I do understand that there is a danger with benzo withdrawal for seizures however they could have given her something else she was sleeping most of the time could not go to group and every time she tried to get a meal there was no food left because it was after hours if you were not at the beginning of the line you are not fortunate to have a full meal. I would not recommend this place.

If I could give zero stars I would. It is a very unsafe environment for anyone who is vulnerable. My husband had a very hard time his FIRST night he was there due to a very inappropriate and dangerous situation happening with other clients. He had no phone, no working tv (to drown out any noises or to shift his focus) and no way to get into contact with any night staff. He went to the main office (at only 9:30pm), rang the doorbell and knocked on the door for 15 min and no one answered. There was no night time supervision and no one checked on him until the following morning at 8 am when he himself went again to the main office (to make a complaint) to the day staff, who had just arrived. We decided to have him to do his treatment elsewhere as they did not provide a safe environment. They also decided to charge us an additional 3 days stay because he “left”. Very disappointed and feel like they are taking advantage of people being in vulnerable situations.
