We have adopted two cats from PAWS and we couldn't be more happy! We got our "big black panther" in 2022. Then in 2023 we heard about the rescue of a 20 year old cat who had been found living outside. He wasn't expected to live very long and our hearts went out to him. We put in our application to give him the best last weeks of his life. PAWS employees were very careful to make sure we understood his health situation and the expense we were likely taking on, making sure we were willing to commit to that. Well, we were -- and love brought him back to life!! 18 months later, he's still with us!! When we realized he was thriving, not dying, we slowly introduced him to our other cat. Very sweetly, both cats now look out for each other. PAWS provides a spacious, loving environment for cats to wait for their forever homes. They have an application process that ensures as much as possible that the animals get the homes they need and deserve. Every animal has unique care needs and personality traits, and all of this is considered. No process is perfect, but the bottom line is that animals under the care of PAWS are very much loved and cared for in every way.

After much thought,preparation & excitement my little family finally made the decision to go in & adopt a couple of loving cats. To my utter disappointment as soon as we walked in the door we were pounced on by a rude woman on the biggest power trip I've ever witnessed, ZERO customer service skills rudely holding us hostage at the door until we filled out an application. This experience left us with such bad taste in our mouth that we decided to look elsewhere . Having over 2 decades of customer service experience and management I would recommend terminating this woman.

My son is an animal lover. We had to put our family dog down last year. He's been begging to come here and see the animals ever since. We finally had a chance to stop by, but the moment we walked in ... "can i help you?" Yes, my son and I were hoping to see what was here.." "Well you can't do that. You'll have to fill out an application first". "Oh. Uh, never mind then". Yeah, it was pretty unwelcoming. Good luck, people. I'm sure someone else will be interested in coming here...

I adopted my two kitties -Babe and Fuzzy- from PAWS 14 years ago. I have always been impressed with their willingness to help out whenever I had questions. They also helped trap kittens that were found at My work location. They have helped the community for years and put many smiling faces on families, and of course, the kitties and puppies that have been adopted.

Overall, this rescue is great and they are run by good people. (Note: They DO require you to have to fill out an application before coming inside and taking a look at the cats or else you will be told to leave)
The application itself is extensive and asks a lot of questions (which in my opinion, is what every shelter to do to minimize the chance of returns).
I do have one critique that they should either find another vet clinic or be more wary of their vet visits.
My first cat who I adopted Monte Carlo (formerly known as FluffMcDuff) was a sweet boy and seemly healthy until I noticed he really wasn’t. As a vet tech of 8 yrs, I give my pets the best quality care I can give them and I have the medical knowledge of when things are off with cats who are known to be quite tricky to showing signs of sickness sometimes.
After 2 weeks of bringing him home, he was purring awfully a lot and hiding a bunch which he wasn’t before and I felt his body heat was very hot. I rushed him to my job at the ER and unfortunately he was diagnosed with severe anemia and hemoabdomen (fluid in his belly) and had to be put down. My doctors told me that he could’ve been sick long before he came home to me.
PAWS apologized and very nicely expressed their feelings about losing a friend so soon and offered to adopt another friend at no cost. So I adopted a kitty named Broly (formerly Paul)
He is still alive today and very happy however, a week or so later after adoption he seemed also very sick. I had to post pone his remaining vaccines to be up to date and he was hospitalized for a day but untimatly recovered.
I wouldn’t put anything against them, since they are nice people, but I would recommend that they give their adoptees the vet records coming home or paying more attention in how their partnered vet clinic works.

Not a very welcoming helpful place at all! I was there yesterday, found a cat I bonded with but was denied and not given a reason as to why! I thought this place was to help these animals find forever homes. My husband passed a year ago, his cat passed a few months after and I was very hesitant to even consider getting another cat. Granted the folks at this facility did not know my back story but the EXTREME rudeness and the way this older lady treated me was uncalled for and I will make sure to never return to this location.

Recently adopted from Paws. Great experience. They helped me find just the right cat. The shelter is clean and all the cats are well cared for. The people who work there are devoted to the cats welfare and finding them the right forever home
