Unfortunately after years of going to the amazing Alexis for grooming we will no longer be coming here due to ignorant receptionists every time. After two instances now where I simply try to book an appointment the staff is instantly rude on the phone and sarcastic in tone with no reasoning on my end.

They always have issues obtaining medical records and after requesting them to be sent over, and even sending them myself, they insist they never have them and threaten to cancel the appointment. I finally was fed up and asked on the phone if they are able to get them themselves and the receptionist in her own words let me know that yes they can get them but they don't want to. --I referred a friend to them recently and was embarrassed to find out that she cancelled her appointment after getting a rude voicemail left by reception, and again rude staff on the front end.
It's shocking to me, someone that has years of relationships with many staff members here, how poor the communication and customer service of reception, aka the first impression you get as a new customer, has become.

When I complained to Julie, the new manager, she made it known that this is my own problem, her staff does no wrong, and I can "find a way to have Alexis groom my dog on her own time". She also told me that no, they don't get records, which is opposite from what her staff told me... and that this is the first time she has heard a complaint about her reception....(she must not read reviews too often then).

Alexis is a fantastic groomer, i will always recommend her to any and everyone who asks, and I will stand by the awesome doctors and staff of AMC that I know personally, but I will NEVER recommend Plainfield pet resort.

Vickie and Julie, previous managers when it was ACC, would never have their staff talk to a customer the way they did and keep them around while they refuse to perform a simple task, heck I even watched receptionists be fired for less.

I hope this can be used as a training moment but Julie made it abundantly clear that the only issue she had with her reception staff and how they treat people was that they forget to introduce themselves when answering the phone.

I don't see this business being successful, the draw of this place was the link to inhouse vet care and I highly recommend going elsewhere, for the pricing you pay here you can go to several other groomers for better service and treatment for both you and your pet.

The management is so incredibly poor. Just one recent example: there were signs all over saying to call the phone number listed in order to check in (I had an appt.). I called for over 20 min and the call continually went to vm. I pounded on doors. I asked one of the construction works working in the building to please send an employee out. Finally as I was driving away, a woman who stayed she was the manager seemed stunned that I was as upset. Grossly understaffed and grossly mismanaged. Important: this is directed solely to management: Alexis has groomed my dogs for years and we love her. Won’t be going back there again.

My dog comes here for nail trims and we have always been extremely happy with the staff and the services. My dog is not an easy one to handle but the groomers go above and beyond to keep him calm and do a great job with his nails. We recently had a need to board him overnight and were also pleased with the experience! Highly recommended!

I couldn’t get myself to put a one star or even two because the people who work there are so sweet and so helpful but when we brought our dogs there and my one got totally butchered. His back side had so much, what seemed like, razor burn that took weeks to scab over and sadly he’s white so his fur was brown / red for awhile. Their nails and cleaning of ears were both not done either and we specifically asked for that. We used to go here when it was affiliated with the hospital as we were friends with one of the vets and we never had issues!! I’m so disappointed because of how nice the staff was but we cannot manage paying $300 + to get this result again. Hoping this was just a fluke situation.

Absolutely fantastic facility and staff! I never have to worry when dropping off my dog; she goes in excited and comes out just as happy! You know you're in the right place when your dog is excited to see the staff. Well done and highly recommend from myself and Hilde! ?

My dog has been to this place a few times. We gave it a try because our groomer moved there. After our groomer left we decided to continue to give them a shot since the location is convenient. I will never go back there again for any services after my experience today. AFTER I dropped my dog off for the scheduled appointment the new groomer called and said the previous person under charged and the price would be $30 more. I told her that would be fine in the future, but they need to honor the existing price I have paid today since my dog was already there and this was not previously communicated. If the facility wanted to increase the price it should have been communicated before I left my dog with them. I asked to speak to a manager and was told there was not one there. I asked to have them call the manager and have her call me, but the groomer refused. This place is poorly run having no manager on duty or on call and changing prices after my pet is under their care.
