The Greens at Pinehurst Nursing and Rehabilitation stem directly from poor leadership and lack of accountability in upper management. It’s clear that the management team is either incapable or unwilling to address the serious problems plaguing this facility. Despite numerous complaints from families, there has been no noticeable improvement in the quality of care or living conditions. Upper management seems more focused on cutting corners and maximizing profits than ensuring residents receive the dignity and attention they deserve. Their lack of responsiveness to concerns is infuriating and shows a complete disregard for the well-being of both residents and their families. The staff are overworked and under-supported, leading to burnout and a hostile environment. This is a direct result of management’s failure to hire and retain sufficient qualified personnel. Instead of fixing systemic issues, they seem content to let things deteriorate further. When I’ve tried to escalate my concerns to management, I’ve been met with indifference or excuses. There’s no transparency, no follow-up, and no accountability for the appalling conditions in this facility. Upper management needs a complete overhaul. Until that happens, I cannot recommend this facility to anyone who cares about their loved one’s quality of life.

Within the walls of the Greens are residents and rehab patients that receive care from the most tender, loving, nurturing, caring, respectful and humble staff I have ever met. The caretakers treat each patient as if they were their own family member. I am touched by the way Lisa (the social worker), Jennifer (the admission admin) Shamika (the Nurse Practitioner - I hope I got her name right), the medical record manager (forgive me for not remembering her name), and the receptionist helped me as we settled my family member. The ladies are a class act. I witnessed meals being delivered with love and the residents happily living amongst one another. Seeing groups of individuals outside enjoying the sunny day as well as pods of patients sitting in groups around the nursing station exchanging sentiments as everyone was going about their day was wonderful to witness. I am forever grateful for my experience with The Greens. I know my loved one received great care and never felt neglected. Magic lives within the spirit of the facility that is unmatched by other assisted living centers. Thank you ladies, for loving each and every person that comes through your doors.

I am deeply disappointed and horrified by the care my grandmother has received at The Greens at Pinehurst Nursing and Rehabilitation. This facility is failing its residents in multiple ways, and I feel compelled to warn others about the unacceptable conditions here.

First and foremost, the quality of care is abysmal. Staff often seem overwhelmed, inattentive, and at times outright neglectful. My grandmother has gone hours without assistance, even for basic needs like hygiene and mobility. The staff’s lack of compassion and urgency is unacceptable for a facility responsible for vulnerable residents.

The cleanliness of the facility is another major issue. Rooms are poorly maintained, common areas are dirty, and there’s often an unpleasant smell throughout the building. I’ve seen trash left unattended and unsanitary conditions that make me worry about the health and safety of the residents.

Communication is also a huge problem. It’s nearly impossible to get updates on my grandmother’s condition without constant follow-up. The staff seems disorganized and indifferent, which only adds to the stress for families trying to advocate for their loved ones.

My grandmother deserves better, as do all the residents living here. I would not recommend this facility to anyone who wants their loved ones treated with dignity, respect, and proper care.

My 82-year-old mother was admitted from 10/18/2024 -10/30/2024. During her stay she was on hospice from 10/24-10/30, when she passed.
THE GOOD...... The admissions director named Jennifer was very helpful in getting my mother transferred. The social worker, whose name escapes my memory right now, was absolutely phenomenal. She was so understanding and extremely helpful during every aspect of my mother's stay. The nurse, named Laura, was really unbelievable. She took such good care of my mother while she was there, and I am extremely grateful for her. There was also one aide, again I don't know her name, who was very gentle with my mother. During baths she kept my mother's dignity in sync.
THE BAD ....... One of the aides came in to give my mother a bath. She stripped her down and left her uncovered the entire time just pouring water on top of her body. And just let her sit there and shiver. It was a terrible experience and very embarrassing for my mother (yes I filed a complaint). Thankfully we found someone who did a much better job. Another one of the aides that helped take care of my mother during the day, was awful.. when we put her on hospice, they needed to medicate my mother every 2 hours to keep her calm and pain-free. This woman, short brown hair with glasses, came in twice and gave my mother medication in such a way that she choked. She then sat her up to stop the choking and my mother fell forward and I had to grab her. At the point my mother was at, she was not able to swallow or hold any part of her body in position. The other nurses were giving the medication with a lot less liquid, and inside my mothers cheek.. I understood after the first time, because everybody makes mistakes. But the second time, was not okay. I put a call into the social worker who informed me that, that individual was not even supposed to be administering medication and she would not be anywhere near my mother again. On 10/30/2024 when my mother passed, the PA came in to check her vital signs and make sure that she officially passed, and asked ME to call time of death, because I had my phone right there.
I would also love to know why it took Dr Collins until November the 6th to sign my mother's death certificate. The funeral home had to call everyday, multiple times a day, to try and get the death certificate signed. It was only after threatening to call the medical board that the death certificate was finally signed! The fact they let my mother sit in a freezer for 8 days before cremation is absolutely horrible.. She was finally cremated on November the 7th..
Nothing like making a horrible situation even worse.

This was my first experience at The Greens at Pinehurst Rehabilitation & Living Center. I flew up from Atlanta to see my dad who has been a patient there for 1 1/2 months. I was so impressed with the staff and quality of care that seemed to be taking place. Everyone was so friendly and while I was there, if my dad needed something, they brought it pretty quick. We noticed right away that everything smelled good, no funky smells. Thank you!

A dear 95 year old family friend is being cared for at The Greens. He has stage 4 cancer.
Every single staff member has treated him (and me) very well. They are thorough, kind, and seem to care.

My mother has been placed in the greens for rehab and I drive in from Massachusetts every 6-8 weeks to visit her and I can say she is in great care. The staff goes above and beyond to keep the patients with dignity and great care. Very impressed with each members performance. Thank you for going above and beyond to get her back on the road to recovery.
