We adopted a dog two years ago from northern rescue group. Within two days of her being home, she had opened up a spot on her for and got it bleeding. This particular foot had been broken in a car accident years ago when Daneyelle rescued our sweet girl. It healed a bit funky but she still had full use of her leg, or so we were told. When we took her to our vet they immediately recommended amputation and this threw us for a loop because the norther rescue who I won’t name here had told us the leg was a nonissue and she had full use of it. So, we tried several times to contact said rescue simply to try and get a little more information, but they wouldn’t return any of our calls or emails. I have since made the assumption that they feared we wanted to return our dog so they ignored us, but we simply wanted more information so we could best help our girl. We didn’t want to amputate without doing our due diligence, as we knew she had been hit by a car four years prior and had been living with the leg just fine!

This is the chain of events that led us to Daneyelle and Cookies! We started looking through the paperwork we had been given by the northern rescue and found the name of our girls saving grace, Ms. Daneyelle. We tracked her down on social media and she immediately responded. She answered all of our questions and gave us so much information on our Rosie and we got two more opinions on the leg from different vets, both who agreed with Daneyelle that the leg should be saved. Turns out, sweet Rosie was just anxious from being transported and in a new home, so she started chewing at the ulcer where the bones fused together. Once she was settled in and relaxed, she left it alone, it healed, and she got to keep her leg. If we hadn’t found Danyelle in time, we probably would have listened to the first vet and unnecessarily amputated Rosie’s leg.

Once we found Danyelle, she always stayed in touch and I began following her work. She does amazing things for the animals in her care and I’m so grateful that Rosie had her for the four years she was with her before we got her. Rosie unfortunately got diagnosed with lymphoma a little over a year after bringing home and she crossed the rainbow bridge last August, but we are so incredibly grateful for the time we had with her. She was such a well mannered, loving, loyal girl right until the end and I owe that all to Danyelle.

I have worked with this rescue for several years. It is top notch. The love and care its owner has for every animal in her care is beautiful to see. I have both fostered and foster failed (adopted) dogs from Cookies Canine Animal Rescue and those experiences have changed my life. While fostering, anything the pups needed was provided from medical services to doggie toys and everything in between. They were able to tell me about the dog’s demeanor and help me give the pups a new, best life. I recommend this rescue to all my friends looking to foster or adopt!

This girl truly goes above and beyond and puts all the animals needs before herself. I always say I don’t know how she does it, but she does. She gives these babies her all. I have been knowing Danyelle for a while and To see how these babies were taken such good care of amazed me! She is one person doing it all. When she gives, she truly gives it her all. It definitely takes a special person to do what she does❤️ go adopt you a new family member because she sure does have some good ones!!

Wonderful rescue! Daneyell is literally a patron saint to animals. Not only did I receive a healthy, well cared for puppy from her but this dog came to me one of the happiest and sweetest, and well loved dogs from a rescue I’ve ever had. Daneyell also thoroughly vetted us to make sure we’d make good pet parents like a good rescue should. She was always polite and courteous in our interactions and even followed up with us over the years to check on our girl which tells me she really loves her animals and treats them like her own. Anyone who has anything negative to say about this woman clearly doesn’t know her and is usually upset because they cannot simply dump their animals on her at a whims notice. This woman who has dedicated her life and works around the clock to save dogs, cannot always take your dog because most rescues and shelters are totally full these days (in most cases cause of ppl like you). Try working as a rescuer witnessing the most horrific, and heartbreaking cases on a daily basis because people can’t be bothered to commit to their animals or cruelly abuse them and dump them, and let’s see how you answer the phone when another entitled person determined to dump their dog on you calls with an attitude when you’re already busting at the seams with homeless, abandoned dogs, and let’s see how you respond to that or how long you last for that matter. Shame on gross people who attempt to badmouth her because they can’t selfishly dump their beloved pets on her at their earliest convenience! Thank you Daneyell for rescuing, Honey, and giving us one of her beautiful puppies. We will always be grateful to you for her!! Much love from NYC

Best rescue ever. We adopted our sweet girl in 2018. She was already house/crate trained, utd on all her shots, spayed, and on heartworm prevention. Danyelle is amazing and treats these babies with so much love as if they are her own furbabies. She is very careful who she adopts to which is very understandable in today's world.

Could not be more thankful for Daneyell and all the hard work she does, the world needs more people like her. She's out here changing the world for these dogs. I've had one of my Cookies dogs for 6 years and he's the best thing to ever happened to me.
