How can I ever thank Dr. Brauer and the whole Sheldegren Team for all the love and care they give my 3 (large!) doodles. Dr. Brauer comes to Sheldegren one a month for on site clinical care, she cares for my dogs like they are her own and saves me a ton of money! I have visited her clinic in St. Pete several times for teeth cleaning and cyst removal etc..she is a wonderful Veterinarian! I trust her completely!
Additionally, this is the second generation of my fur babies going to Sheldegren for Daycare, Grooming and Boarding. I have been taking my dogs there for over 10 years, there is no other folks I trust more. Mary Ann (on site owner) loves every dog like they are her own. My 3 doodles are rescues (and have special needs) and I know Diana and her team watch out for them day and night.
I have my dogs groomed/ bathe every 4 weeks and they smell and look wonderful!
But the best thing about Sheldegren is how my dogs feel about it. When we pull in the driveway, they know where we are. They jump out of the car and run to the door! They can't wait to be with all their friends! Thank you Sheldegren and your wonderful team for all you do!!!

I've been taking both my dogs, a Chihuahua and Australian Shepherd to get groomed and have been very satisfied with the care and attention they get while there for close to two years now. The staff is always friendly and professional and trust they get the best care!

Sheldegren is the best! I have been taking my dog here since he was six months old for both daycare and boarding. Each member of the staff knows him by name! I always feel so comfortable and at ease knowing he is being cared for by the amazing owner and staff when I have to leave him. If you need daycare options and/or boarding, I highly recommend Sheldegren!

Love this daycare! Found it while on vacation and appreciated their accommodating our 4 month old pup, Maggie, who needed some playtime. Will definitely return next year. Wish there were such great daycares, especially without reservations, near us. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Picture isn’t from daycare, obviously….

I have been bringing my dog for boarding over the last year or so and he seems to really enjoy it. The staff is always friendly and the prices are so affordable.

We use them for boarding one cat and one dog and we have never had an issue. Our cat is on meds and do not worry about the ability of the staff to handle any issues. We just recently tried their grooming on their last visit and they look great!! Good fair prices and a top notch staff. I already recommend them to everyone. We live in Palm Harbor and it is worth the drive. Thanks staff you guys rock!!

I took my dog there back on December 2016 for 2 weeks. They were very nice and use to post pictures of my dog on Facebook that I could see while I was out of the country, but after a week I didn't see any more pictures of my dog. When I came back from traveling to pick my dog she was like 10 pounds less and you can see all her ribs and vertebrate. I was so surprise and upset that I just took my dog home like that. When I got home I realize that she was also vomiting so I took her to my vet and we took care that. In no time she was able to get her weigh back by just eating. I was very obvious that you visually see that something was wrong with her and nothing was done to take care that. You can't say that she didn't want to eat because I know her and that is her passion, she is always looking for food. I just decided not to take her there any more and better took her to may vet All Pet Care. They are really more professional and did an excellent job last time, more $$ but I felt relaxed traveling knowing that my dog was in good hands.

I'm writing this simply in reference to dog grooming. I took my dog to them for the first time on 6/1/23. I explained that I wanted his face cleaned up and that they could take just a small amount (1/4 ") off his body fur. When I got him home and paid attention to the results, I found that his face still showed at least 2 inches of discolored fur and that hair was still interfering with his eyes and annoying him. I called and expressed my concerns. I also sent an email. A receptionist called me back and said she would let the groomer know. As of today (6/8/23) I have heard nothing. Sheldegren is convenient to my home but I will not use them again for any service because I don't trust them to be responsive.
6/10/23 Amy, the groomer, did call me after my Google review was posted and we scheduled a correction visit this morning. Eddie looks much better. She told me she wouldn't have taken so much hair off his face without consulting me. I still have this question: why didn't the groomer meet with me before the first grooming visit and find out, specifically, what I wanted? Someone there did come out and question me very briefly but she was not a groomer (Amy tells me she's the only groomer there). This all could have been avoided if that minor consultation had occurred.
