Earlier this year my dog started having trouble walking and nobody has been able to figure out what's wrong with him. Then one vet said 4Paws might be able to help, so I booked an appointment and paid a required deposit.

I had a death in my family and had to reschedule three days before the appointment; but it was not three business days, so I was told by Colette that I would lose my deposit “unless they could fill my appointment slot.” I asked if I could apply it to my next appointment and she very clearly told me I could not. She asked if I wanted to reschedule and I told her I would call back.

I've spent over $15k since all this started and money has gotten very tight. So the morning of the appointment I called to see if they found someone to take my appointment. I was told THEY DID but that I still wouldn't get my money back because I didn't reschedule when I cancelled, at which time the deposit would have been applied to my next visit regardless of whether they filled my original slot. I protested and said that I would have rescheduled before (or right then) if I had to, but they just kept repeating that 'Colette said I forfeited it'.

This was the weirdest bait and switch. Why pull something like this? They filled the slot. I need help and money is tight. Why mislead me, and what about my dog? It would have been no skin off their back to apply the deposit to a new appointment. I keep wondering if they reviewed his records, determined that they couldn't help him, and decided to get the money and save themselves the time...

Whatever the reason, it’s clear they don’t care about helping me or, tragically, my dog. And I’m left to figure out the next thing to hopefully help my little guy get better.

I hope the people at 4Paws can make a change. I’m sure they’ll continue to make plenty of money if they prioritize caring for the people and pets they’re supposed to be serving. Right now it seems like all they care about it money.

This is the BEST rehab facility I have been to and I've done rehab in two countries and both coasts. Totally worth the drive if you aren't local. 100% total body care and individualized treatments. Great for senior dogs too, I have seen awesome changes in one of our household pups that was slowing down significantly.

Our 75lb 2 year old "boy" was in rehab for 9 months following FHO surgery. The doctor and her staff and the facility were outstanding. Organized, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Can't say enough great things about all of them. We were there for water treadmill and a variety of many strength and muscle building exercises. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend 4Paws!
